I just uploaded a Logon XP logon and at first the preview was there , then it diaappeared. Also the file size for the original preview was 803KB 1440x900 and won't let me select the entire pic, so I changed it to a 1280x960 and it took. Why- these are way under 2MB??? Same prob as redneckeddude.
think it has to do with the handprint (thunbnail) sizing. when clicked upon to expand, the whole preview is shown. something el
gmc2: To your issue of things not showing up in IE8, there is no flash or third party cookies. It could still be something in your settings (particularly if you are blocking some javascript), I'm guessing there is something in your IE, either a setting or an add-on that is interfering with your view. Especially since it is working for you in other browsers.
I'm bummed, I have no idea. not blocking Java and the only suspect add-on would be IE7 Pro, disabling that has no
I could be looking to get flamed here but I think the move was made way before the site was ready.
I don't think people will flame you for stating the obvious, it's kind of a Yo-da statement. I signed up to be a subscriber and user not a beta tester. While I don't mind helping out occasionally switching to the new site in it's present condition has created, for me at least, a frustrating experience.
Comments and ratings are working in IE8 for me.
not here. I did check with FF and it is working okay and I'm seeing the comments with that browser. NOW, that I know which stars to hover over I can see that the star rating on the blind's page is missing. is "flash" or "third party cookies" involved with either of these two items? EDIT: MOVED TO THE BUG THREAD

To rate, just hover your cursor over the amount of stars you want to give the item, and click. Missing author comments? Not in my browser.
Sorry, not working with my IE8. no mouseover response from the stars and no author's comments. is Imagesh
my point is... I think there is a balance here. It may be weighted one way or the other from time to time but in the long run there is equal exposure for everyone.
I can agree with you for the old site however my initial impression of the new site is different but only time will tell.
Showcasing those who have been here the longest, worked the hardest, helped the community the most and produced the finest work isn't necessarily a bad thing.[/quote

Kestral, I'll bet that these things you mentioned have been discussed within the forum and I just plain missed them, glad to hear about them. I did attempt to access my settings and had a page fail but that is understandable with the change over. I'll look again later. Also sounds as though there is something in the works along the lines of "my skins", very glad to hear that. It's not that I dislike a lot of things, it is just that there were some dissapointments.
