I am hopeful (and eager) to see if someone from Stardock will reply to this threads question. As a player of the game, I can only comment on the effect the MV has had on me. Well, I'm shocked at the micro-management it takes to finish up a gigantic all abundant Maso. I had hoped to have it completed by last weekend and I'll be lucky to have it done this weekend! After reading the post Mag made about the overall score degradation and removal of the 30 day blocks as was the case in the first MV, I'm regretting my decision to do all those racial victories via Tech win. I think the multiple character thing was intended to be used more for folks in the position of FC. I think it makes great sense in this case where you may be away from the MV for months at a time and suddenly you post 45 games in a 2 or 3 day span. I'm sure he'd like to have the ability to spread that over several characters and maximize the results of his work. Of course if he's not able to do so while on deployment, he'll probably be rarin' to go when he gets back in port.

As a result of the ctrl "n" issues of older versions, I got in the habit of just going to the main menu and hitting "metaverse" all over again. It kicks you quickly through the start screens and creates a new galaxy. Haven't had a problem with this yet.

Congrats FC!!! Cardassian, the only answer I can think of is "over allotment" of points during the game set up (I've seen someone post somewhere about that problem). Make sure that you are not in the "yellow" when assigning the extra abilities.

We have no requirements for membership other than you enjoy the game and play for fun!!! Many of us here are old vets of GCI and many of us dominated the MV there. I believe that avatar will follow you regardless of the character...I have noticed the same with Magnum. Perhaps it is the MV's way of allowing us to see who's who without clicking on the profile's all the time?
