Wanna preview of how it looks FC???
Chipperoo
WOOT!!! Good job to all!!!
Dropped a 66K BOOM! in today. It was supposed to be an alliance win but the idiot insects didn't want to ally with me. Sector 357.84 now cleared of ANY alien presence, prepare the colony fleets immidiate departure.
Good evening (morning to those across the pond!), One more day 'til Friday!!! I hope everyone is up for some making some toasters this weekend...
I think it just happens that way sometimes FC. My last game had no minors while the previous one had 7!!! The one I just started has 3 and I've changed nothing.
Nice one Vulcan!!
I'd like to see an event that is similar to the Fundamentalists of GCI with one change. Rather than being based on morality, this new group takes x % of every civ's planets. This would mean that each race would be effected (in theory). In any event, I'd like to have the option.
Updating to 1.3 now.
Got a very late night BOOM! in last night to snag a racial victory medal. I hope e-1 has a safe day today. Thanks to all who serve.
My diplomatic skills are akin to a Teddy Roosevelt quote, "Speak softly, and carry a big stick."
I believe he meant to say losing 5 times with ~ANY~ race.
I like it Weyr. Any objections to ZAP anyone?
Congrats FC . It's starting to feel like the old days around here again, anyone have a suggestion for a replacement word for BOOM! when we submit a good score?
We're working on it buddy. (Anyone want to buy stock in a new venture with me? I'm going to open a Thalan legs restaurant...)
Well it took me 20 minutes to find that. I still can't find the thread that had the discussions about medals in it (spent another 20 minutes on that search...) Oh well, I still think it would be helpful to have that info stickied in the forums as well.
I found this WWW Link It still is a bit confusing as to which medal is for what accomplishment. Otherwise it's all there.
Yes Weyr, your going to need to reinforce the breast of your dress uniform with all that weight hanging off there!
but your feedback is what I'me here for. Cardassian, make sure to announce yourself as a member of the empire when you visit the Galactic Core. WWW Link The Galactic Core You'll find a TON of walkthroughs, tips, advice, an active forum, and much more.
If this MV is the same as the MV for GalCivI, I believe the military rank has to do with the total games played or won. It's another way to compare your score against others of the same rank. Side request: Kryo, if you could have someone find or re-create the post I once saw regarding the list of medals, ranks, and access levels and then sticky it, I'm sure we'd all appreciate it. Have a nice long weekend all!
He might have had "Eyes of the Universe" or a nearby enhanced scout ship too.
If you didn't play GalCivI, I'd reccomend starting on the "Cakewalk" setting (don't worry, you won't have to submit the score if you don't want to ) Set the games parameters to small or tiny galaxy size, common stars, common planets, and fast tech. Try to maximize your spending in the area's you want to concentrate on by moving the spending sliders in the 3 categories (Social, Military, and Research
Actually, the Diplo's (in the form they are now) is a blending of several different empire's players from the first Metaverse. (I'm sure I'll leave some out, but here goes anyway)... Diplomats Galactic Guardians Foundation Canadian Star Federation Aldarians (Did Moser join the diplo's?)
There is also the all races medal. Medals I'd like to see: -All victory conditions medal -All victory conditions with each race medal I'm sure there'll be others...
First post was February 21st. T.O.P. snagged.
I like to reserve my trade for the minors if I'm playing any style other than "Political Victory". I also like to protect my minors' planet when they're about to be eliminated by surrounding thier planet with warships (8 ships placed one in each surrounding tile). Depending on the movement ability of the attacking AI, I can often leave an opening in the "blockade fleet" and rotate it turn after turn sending the attacking fleet in circles! <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/
