If it's anywhere near the enhancement Altairian Prophecy (AP) made to GCI, I wouldn't sweat it. Even though I had the option of playing AP ~or~ GCI after I DL'd AP I never played the original again.
You'll find a much more active forum at the Galactic Core Cardassian. As to the submission issue...Make certain that from the main game menu you hit the "Metaverse" button and NOT the "Play" button. Once you've logged into the metaverse you may then begin a "Metaverse" game. Please note that once you've started and saved a Metaverse game you only have to load it (rather than having to log into the MV again). Hope this helps.

I'll throw my 2BC in now that this thread has been revived... I'd like to see an "All Conditions" medal (1 Victory in each of the 4 ways to win: Technology, Political, Cultural, and Military). And if you like THAT!!! I'm doing a self-imposed quest of "All Conditions/All Races" now... (Hint, Hint!!!)

The important thing to remember is that AFTER you have created your character you must still start an "MV" game by hitting the "metaverse" button on the main menu of the game...NOT the "Play" button. (I've made this mistake myself...)
As posted in the Core, I have completed Tech game 4 of the "All Races/All Conditions" quest I gave myself, and I must admit that I'm glad I'm almost half way to getting the Tech portion done. The Political method will be no problem (Thanks to GCI experience) and the Cultural method will present no challenges (Thanks to ED's "Isolate them" strategy) so hopefully by November I'll be back to my "Might makes right" preference!!! I am now beginning to regret the decision to do an all victory conditions with all races challenge. I am only on my fourth race of the "Technology" condition and it feels like cranking out 60K maso's in the original MV...without getting 60K. Oh well, at least I've started with the evil races and it'll be downhill from here. See you at the Core!

Wow, where do I start! I am not a "high ranking" member in the community either MV ranking-wise or access level-wise but I must state my opinion here. I find navigation of this site to be cumbersome (at best), slow (compared to other sites), and a shadow of the site offered in the original Metaverse. All that having been said, how can anyone see the forums here as a ~minor~ extension of the game? Were it not for the ability to "join an empire", have a place to talk

Welcome to TyrGodOfWar. I agree that it's a shame there is no all victory types medal. I tried looking for the thread which described the medals but (as I'm sure you already figured out...) I couldn't find it. I was going to suggest both an all Victory conditions medal and an all races/all conditions medal. I am currently about to finish Tech win # 2 with the Yor (race #2) and will cycle through all the races on Tech before moving on to the ~slightly~ more desirable Political Vic

I believe Gamefan 1981 has pointed out a typo that should be corrected. "Dependancy" should be replaced with "dependability".
That is certainly an impressive score but I have to agree with you and ED. I don't want to play a "slot machine", I had tons of fun cranking Maso's out on the GCI Metaverse, but like many others eventually had Meta-burnout. This time around, I'm playing to enjoy it and try to play for enjoyment rather than score cranking. That having been said, certainly the playing field needs to be level...after all, not all of us have a 4 year old tha

I have gone to the "dark side" in game 3. (First time I've tried this in either GCI or GCII.) Unfortunately, I got nailed with the UP event that limits the number of trade routes for "evil" civs, they voted for 1. Can you tell me, Magnum or any other, if this is a 3 or 4 year event or will it be game long?
