I get pages and previews that won't load, forum boards that are "compressed" for lack of a better description Ususally have to reload the page two or three times to get it to load correctly WinXP Pro SP2 Firefox 1.04 Cable connection WC subscriber (don't know if that makes a difference, but I thought T-man said something a few days ago about having to put subscribers on the secondary server, which caused everyone to see the pai

After the last re-install of Windows, CursorXP (paid version) crashes on startup. It will either not apply at all, or it will apply the cursor and then lock up the desktop, giving me the "CursorXP has encountered a problem and must close" message. At that point I usually have to do a hard reboot, since I can't see my cursor and the desktop is usually locked up anyway. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling through Stardock Central, but still g

I'll sometimes eat a cookie or maybe some chips at the PC, but I don't like getting grease or goo on my trackball, makes it stick. (I can usually tell when my 10 year old has been on, as the trackball will hardly move from whatever sticky stuff he leaves all over it.) I usually have a beer while I'm at the PC, but I've gotten into a bad habit of setting my beer in front of the keyboard while I'm reading something, then I forget its there and

Just out of curiosity, why was it so important to uninstall before upgrade installs with the pre-1.0 releases, but now you can upgrade on-the-fly? Not that I'm complaining, but I got so used to doing the ininstall when upgrading, that I wonder how they were able to add the live upgrade feature.

Other days when I'm struggling through corporate burocracy (sp?) just to get a simple part ordered, or else trying to put together an analysis in an impossible amount of time, I wish I could just walk away. Dream job

Cool. On a more serioius note, there was a possible java-scripting exploit found that affects FF and Moz suite. So far there are no reports of anyone actually using the exploit though. Visit http://www.mozilla.org/security/announce/mfsa2005-42.html for the workaround until the next upgrade is released.

Are you using the same release of FF on all 3 machines? Have you checked to make sure you're running the latest nVidia drivers? If you are, then you might try rolling back to an earlier driver. You could also try using a different FF theme and see if you get the same problem.

Thongs and booze? How can you go wrong? I haven't been on JU for, uh, well a long while, and this is the first article I read. Now I need to go take a cold shower. Thanks a lot. (I also read your post about your daughter's cough. Hope she's doing better. Good thing you followed your instincts and took her to another Doc.)

Always (always, always, always, always.....)back up your registry before you go "a-tweakin'" As far as whatever problem you were having with MS Office, have you tried reinstalling it (now that you've 'mostly' uninstalled it) to see if your problem is fixed?
