Very glad to hear your daughter is improving. There are few things harder as a parent than having you children sick.

My brother spent 15+ years in the US Army. I'm sure at some levels they have some top shelf techno-goodies, but from the stories he told me, they are years behind the corporate sector in their use of computer technology.
It changed my common dialogue settings that I had made in TweakUI, and since I wanted those settings, I went ahead and uninstalled, and rebooted as instructed. Everything ran s..l..o..w afterward. Another reboot and everything seems back to normal. I think I'll wait until this gets a little more development.
Does it give youthe option to quarantine the virus? If not it sounds like you need a more up to date Anti-Virus. You can buy Norton 2005 from the store with cash, or if $$ is tight you can try AVG, it's free, and lots of peoplw swear by it. You should be able to find it at: majorgeeks.com in teh AntiVirus section. Good luck.
Jump over a thread....maybe MadPyro can hack your computer so you can install OD. ....and if the smilies were working there would be one here.
Hmmm...thought that would show up in the post as an imagee rather than a link.

WHen I first read this thread I changed the value to 30, as suggested. After reading more, I have changed it to 8, and I see the same speed I was getting when set to 30. THanks for the follow-up info, CTJ
Took a minute to load, but everything looks fine here. Firefox, XP HE SP2 1024x768 32bit color. I'm also using a dark skin, but I don't think I've ever seen that effect the display of a page.

Current ride: '04 Chevy Colorado Quad Cab,in retina-burnin' red! Just got it 3 months ago, and still love it. Dream ride? lots of those, but I fell in love with Corvettes when I was a kid in the '70s. Give me one of those fiberglass coke bottles and I'll be in heaven!

Pre-kindergarten days it was Speed Racer. I couldn't tell time back then, but I knew it was the first show on the air on Saturday mornings. So I'd be up at probably 4 or 5 AM watching the test pattern waiting for that cool car that could do anything. (Yes, I remember test patterns, a time before we had 5 different 24-hour cartoon channels.)Road Runner&Coyote were always favorites too.
