Voodoo station... I agree with that Counting Crows comment. I have the CD. I actually have both August and Recovering the Satellites... I thought about doing Raining in Baltimore for quite a while, too, but it looks like I'm stuck on Fiona Apple, mainly because I printed the 22 copies already Thanks so much for the advice, guys, now I've got to check out a bunch of new songs!!<b

You are an amazing poet. I loved this poem. Strange when these "coincidental" things happen to me... I'm currently listening to Mona Lisas and Mad Hatters. I mean, strange that your poem has an "Alice in Wonderland" theme and I'm listening to a song that mentions Mad Hatters. It would be stranger if I were listening to "White Rabbit." But this poem is incredibly good. How do you do it!!! ~Anne

Don't be silly. I'm overly glad you posted it, and don't be too shy to post. I think you're loads more talented than me!! Hence the HUGE letters!! :) ~Anne

I love Almost Famous too. Funny you mentioned it, because it was my SN on MSN today for about a half hour... I was listening to some tracks on iTunes and came upon "Mona Lisas and Mad Hatters" and it reminded me of Almost Famous. So I'm gonna watch that tonight. Sorry---totally random thought. ~Anne

I am supposed to find a poetic (or not poetic) song for extra credit in my lit class. This sounds like the easiest assignment in the world, if you are not a poetic genius/freak. I listen to songs for A) their musical quality and B) their lyrical quality. Of course, the songs I pick for lit are based solely on their lyrical content, and the music doesn't come

I guess I see that some people aren't offended by this drawing. I am. I don't care if anyone isn't . It's disgusting, it's vile, distasteful, insensitive, cruel, unusual, and immature. In order for someone to have drawn this, someone must have thought it was funny. I'm not Jewish, and as far as I know I don't suffer from the "Holocaust complex." And this is still disgusting. Needless to say, it would have been disgustin

Imajinit!!!! The war in Iraq and Afghanistan are two very different things. I don't even feel like getting into this, just think it over a little bit (not saying you're stupid, not calling you names or anything). We fought back against Afghanistan. Were we attacked by weapons of mass destruction, and that's why we went into Iraq? I mean, our being in Iraq and our having fought against Bin Laden are two very different situations. I sti

AHHH!!!! Please excuse the enormous font, I thought it was needed to describe how freaking MUCH I LOVE THIS POEM. It is insanely amazing. Perhaps one of the best poems I have EVER read. Great great great great! ~Anne

I just wanted to say that this article made me think of two things: 1) When my friends were killed in Iraq and Kuwait recently, Bush was sitting on his fat oil-rich ass on his ranch, and continued to sit on his fat oil-rich ass when he found out. and 2) I hate Bush. I know the first comment really didn't have much to do with your article. But your article did remind me of how much I hate Bush. ~Anne

I would also like to add that in my eyes there is no credibility in comparing the "War in Iraq" to Pearl Harbor. These are two very different situations. Vietnam is a little more realistic, but Pearl Harbor? I just don't see it. ~Anne!

Ahh, after your last reply, Muggaz, and Imajinit's last question, this is where Anne brings in HER favorite Gandhi quote: "An eye for an eye only makes the world blind." And I would like to say that I don't necessarily think that Pat Tillman is any more of a hero than anyone else fighting overseas. I know this is cruel and unusual for me to say, seeing I've had TWO friends die overseas, but I don't think that, just because s

My world is becoming vague. It's more like the sound of rain, or the feeling of the wind. Something you can't see, you can't know for sure that it's there, but you also can't prove that it's not. The drinking binge has seemed to pass as quickly as it came. Perhaps it's the lack of money, the lack of purpose, the lack of enjoyment... And yet, that the

Maybe you should change your license place to that :) I would do some sort of retaliation though. I mean, something!! Don't just sit back silently and let them think they can mess with your life without standing up to them on some level, besides getting authorities involved. Are they easily jealous? I mean, you could throw a block party for everyone else that lives near you except them, give them a taste of their own medicine. Start a group of

Lol! Dharma!!! You're dealing with a highschooler!!! I love this shit. I mean, not that it's happening to you, but that these people exist. I would be so angry if I were you... but I have a *slight* temper problem :S If I were you, I would mess with her as much as possible (ie car in garage, have your kids sit outside for a while so she says they're locked out, something legal just to mess with her mind). Seriously!! These pe
