So I'm in a situation. And it's one of those situations where you know exactly what it is that you have to do yet... you want to do the exact opposite. I've been 'seeing' this guy for a few months now. And I really like him. I haven't been here for a long time so my reactions to him have become quite adolescent. I think he's amazing. Sadly he doesn't feel t

You are my new personal hero! I waitressed for about 5 years and never managed to come up with anything near as brilliant as your routine. I was always good at using polysyllabic words which were obviously beyond the comprehension of the numbskulled neanderthals we called customers. Upon suggesting that a carry bag would be superfluous for a customer's takeaway cookie I was bruffly told 'There's not need to be offensive'. When I innocently sta
How did this girl get your email address? What a fruit loop! I hate girls like this - they ruin the reputation of the normal ones of us out there. Watch out for yourself (and enjoy your holiday - so very jealous!) Suz
Just remember that you cannot hate someone that you don't love in someway. Any strong expression of emotion towards another is based on the fact that you value the person in some way. Your uncle would have known that you loved him. And you can't be too hard on yourself - we were all little sh*ts when we were teenagers! I definitely agree with your sentiment though. It is too easy to get caught up in the day to day trivialities and forget that
Wonderful article! It just makes me whistful that it has been such a long time since I've kissed anyone - passionately or not! And so I am off to 'enjoy' another Saturday night alone... I NEED A LIFE!
Trinitie! I think we are similar in so many ways. One day you're up, thinking that you're doing OK. Life's not too bad for the moment. Then the next, for no apparent reason, you're filled with apprehension, you notice all the things that you don't like about yourself and you feel like you're back to square one. I agree with Muggaz - so many people find a niche and stagnate there. They may not go through the soul searching that you and I (a
Dharmagrl, I read your blog when I arrived home from the pub last night and was going to respond then, but had that sudden moment of clarity when you actually realise that you are probably not in the best state to be communicating with anyone - let alone having to negotiate the intricacies of typing! Now that I have slept and recovered from the night before, I find that I have the same reaction to your beautiful piece. It is so great to see som
Now that's just rubbing it in...
OOOOHHH - how does one do that???? I'm only new to this whole blogging fandangle and probably should just read the instructions. But if you can offer any tips??? Ta for the compliment as well
I've moved to London and as such have been forceably distanced from the great Sonic Animation. My dream, one day, is to don the furry animal suit and jump like a loon on stage with them. The last time I saw them was two years ago, and I danced and laughed and drank so hard it took me days to get over it! How I miss them... Good to see a fellow supporter!
Thank you TT, I guess my complaint is more about my lack of movement on the action front. All talk and no action - that sort of thing. Do I detect a Sonic Animation fan???
Why thank you. I do my best to please
Incase it interests anyone I checked out Miki's site to see what type of a person he is. Turns out he has a link to a video of someone being beheaded (which i declined to check out) in an attempt to prove that a CIA video is fake. Gee - someone who even KNOWS where to go to find this stuff is obviously a balanced person. I think we should ALL take his words as gospel and home school our children too. Just the sort of person we need educating our fu
How are you feeling the need to be fake?
Sometimes I feel like a fledgling, peering over the side of my nest, attempting to gain the courage to fly but entirely unsure of what would happen if I did and what my destination would be. I have the wings. I know that they are strong, but I'm unsure of how to use them. I am sick of sitting in this nest. Mostly it represents safety and comfort. Sometimes
This is so hard! AND such a good question... I was going to say my intelligence, but there are many who are as or more intelligent than me. I was going to say being a good friend, but again, there are many out there. I could say because of my ridiculously extensive knowledge of the Simpsons, but I know that many other people would whip my arse. I could keep going with these, but I think I am unique because of my own personal combin
Jill, I can't believe that someone would attack you for your unfortunate experience and attempt to blame you for it! I think all we can say is that we're lucky NOT to be that person, NOT to know that person and NOT to ever have to meet them. As for Miki casting aspersions about 'junkies' and what not, it is interesting to note that he has damned your ex-babysitter on the basis of a possibility given to you by another blogger. I feel s
Thank you - you have just given me the push necessary to finish 1984. I was wondering what I was going to do this afternoon!
Sorry to disappoint, but a duck's quack does echo. It's just one of those urban myths. Another odd fact is that it is legal to have topless shop assistants in Liverpool. But only in tropical fish stores. Makes you think, doesn't it?
Thank you Trinitie! I'm sure that it's not that rare, but it is nice to know that someone else out there admits to it! Loved your blog, by the way Suz
Good for you! We need more people in the world like you, who are prepared to be themselves, regardless of what people will think about it. Maybe life is a journey that is supposed to be travelled with a few people you know well for some people and others are supposed to experience many different people and places, blessing those around them with their unique presence for whatever time is necessary to make a difference. While you celebrate your diff
Thank you for replying to mine! I'm with you on the whole 'How are you?' as a greeting as opposed to a question. I've recently moved to London and having a hard time getting used to people saying 'You alright?' as a way of saying hello. There have been a lot of odd looks when I have actually replied 'Fine, and you?' As for being that girl, no, don't think I'm particularly happy with it. I haven't always been her either. But I've let p
OH NO! My only vice and you have ruined it for me! I LOVE pickles! I'm not sure if I can live without them, so I may have to end it all now by gorging myself on the king sized jar in my fridge. Farewell world. How I loved thee... (Brilliant blog - you've made me smile on a very crappy day )
I think I'm still the girl at the start of your story. Well, not quite as I can reocognise the other parts too... Great blog! Thanks for sharing
What do people talk about? This question has begun to trouble me. You see, I myself am I big talker. Ill talk at any available opportunity. But what is the babble that comes out of my mouth? The trivialities of my day seems to top the list. Anecdotes which I seem to find interesting, regardless of whether or not they are, spill from my lips like water from a leaky
