urinal (sorry Brits and Aussies, not sure if they're called something different in your backward's lands) Being an Aussie living in Britain (although not male - something I shan't apologise for!) I can inform you that yes, we know what urinals are. Some people may call them the troughs, and there are ma
I got a mini iPod - not something I would have ever bought for myself (even if I had the money!) but something I am totally stoked about (currently uploading like a fiend!). Also got a couple of bottles of wine, some socks, some terribly unflattering knickers from my grandma and some Australian licorice. My Dad's coming to visit in a couple of weeks so then I'll get the parental unit's presents. Nice to spread it out. Merry Christmas
Agreed, agreed, agreed. I especially love the last one. Sure, the majority of people probably are, but give us foreigners a chance! Happy Holidays, Raven. Suz xxx
Have you made sure that you've put it in a category? Otherwise I can't help you. Sometimes the site just goes a little odd and you can't post. I'm sure it will sort itself out. And BTW - WELCOME! Suz xxx
He he. I'm going to have that in my head all day now you realise! The Christmas gift that just keeps giving... Merry Christmas to you too! Suz xxx
Merry Christmas to you too, Maso! I know that there was no particular order, but I'm always excited when I make it first on someone's list I'll grow up one day. Where will you be for Christmas? It's apparently expected to snow in the afternoon over here, which is entirely too exciting for me! Compared to the hot Sydney Christmases I'm used to, it's going to be amazing.
Damned time difference! I miss so much while I'm sleeping! I completely agree about being as truthful as possible for myself on here. I didn't come to the interenet to be someone else (although I do have a penchant for a little artistic licence to add a bit of zing to my tales... so I suppose that it lying too!) A brilliant point you make about our casual relationships to the world in general these days. No wonder people are so angry
Hey Maso, I'm not sure which article you're talking about - have you removed it? Whichever way - do your thing. It's you blog and you can do what you like. While I appreciate the honest of others on this site, I don't expect it. The fact is, everybody chooses to represent themselves a certain way here and if that presentation has only a casual relationship with the truth, then that's their choice. As long as no one is being hurt (I don'
Hey Powder, Yeah - still single. All the smug marrieds haven't yet managed to abduct me and force me into a so-called 'healthy relationship' Thanks RUSX. Hope you're enjoying it too! Pleased to meet you, as well Hey Maso, 23 years hey? Was it a case of 'Why didn't we do this sooner?' or
enjoy it while it last... A little cynical are we?
He he. I like that! I seem to remember a Sex and the City Episode where Miranda is asked if she's seeing anyone special. Her response was something along the lines of 'Special? No. Although I am seeing a number of non-special guys. If you know anyone mediocre or below average, send them my way' I liked that a lot! Suz xxx
Man! I have been trying to get my hands on this book but it isn't released here until Feb! Yes, I know, I'm happily single, blah, blah, blah, but I would still like to read this. I think I need to take some tips from these guys. Thanks for the review! Suz xxx
It's just a saying - I think it used to be in old Westerns!
Good luck! Report back on how it went - and perhaps what it was on. I quite like you too, little lady
You most certainly do not! I would have thought that you were a native English speaker had I not picked up (somewhere - hmmm... can't even remember how I knew that) that you were in Poland. Your English is mostly better than mine!
Me likey
Why blah? I'd love to go to Poland. I guess everyone gets a little over the country they're from - hence why travelling is so popular! And I meant to say, shades, feel free to join in at any moment!
Thanks shades! I'll give you one (I'm sure I'll have to be giving them away ) Don't worry about feeling like you're eaves dropping - nothing would be posted here that we didn't mind others reading. maybe I'm some sort of internet exhibitionist?
Sorry - had to reply to an email! So I take it you're in Poland, Powder? And what's the Australian link? Merry Christmas right back atcha! Nine characters is a lot, but I'm sure you'll manage them well. Will they all have equal roles or will some be a little more important than others? I'm just finishing 100 Years of Solitude after about 3 months of dipping in and out of it. There are too many characters with the same names,
Thanks powder! You lucky girl. Nothing like being in love, hey
Good point. Well - nothing like a timeless story dusted off and made nice and shiny for those who can't be bothered reading the classics! Thankfully I wasn't in tears or anything about this character. I guess because I live so much in my head anyway I let the scenarios play themselves out to all possible conclusions and just got a little too caught up in the whole thing. Parhaps I need something more in my life (maybe this is why I'm single <i
I definitely get off on the power of it all. Just watch out for when you start worrying about the characters as though they were real people. I got all torn up inside about one of my little guys. A friend was concerned about me and sat me down to talk about what was wrong. It was only about half a second before I told her what was going on that I realised how ridiculous the situation was. Books suck you in until you're not sure which way is up! <BR
I am so much better at night. I wish I could do more at odd hours, but I kind of need to get a certain amount of regular sleep or I find that my fuse is a little too short to keep my nephew in safety. Children + little sleep = DANGER! Mine is pretty ordinary, to be honest. it's pretty much about me, hidden behind some very thin veils. Heaps of stories from my life and those around me have been bastardised. It's supposed to be funny - or at lea
I'm glad things are going well. That 'needing to pee' excuse never gets old! My book keeps running away from me. I need to finish the fucker, but everytime I sit down to write I can only get some terribly cliched crap on the page. i need to learn how to forget about what I'm doing and just write. Can't wait to read your stuff. Suz xxx
