Between you and Dyl, I feel so...yuck. Huh? If you're trying to insinuate what I think you are then count this as a virtual slap across the head. Silly, silly man *walks away shaking her head in disbelief* Dyl - REASONS WHY THE THINGS THAT MADE YOU CRY WEREN'T SILLY 1) Getting lost sucks.

Making pancakes is easy and very worthwhile! But I know what you mean
I so clearly remember going through exactly what you're talking about. I thought I must be ugly or smelly or too much of a nerd, that my future was going to be horribly lonely, that no one would ever love me etc etc. I'm 24 now and I've had my fair share of boyfriends - good and bad. I've got enough admirers to make me realise that I am attractive and desireable. I've had my heart broken and I've broken hearts. It will happen for you eventually, I prom
America's Next Top Model makes me cry too. Sometimes I think I should cry simply because I am so hooked on the rubbish! Hey Donna, Yeah, it will all get better in time. You've recently(ish) been through so much worse and seem to be fighting the good fight and turning the corner, so I k
Get drunk. Get drunker. Get even more drunk. Huddle in a large coat in the backyard, smoking cigarettes and crying. Times that by three and you’ve got my weekend. I tell you, I’m really sick of crying. I’m sick of the sobs, I’m sick of the tears, I’m sick of the streaky mascara tracks down my face (mental note: next time I
Hey you! I'm with you, sister. Jake has SO many toys - more due to over enthusiastic Grandparents and pseudo grandparents than my sister - and he rarely gets excited by them. He still loves the soft blocks he loved as a baby, he has one micromachine which barely leaves his side, but everything else he loves is the flotsam and jetsam about the house. The remote controls (got to love his timing changing channels in the most crucial part of a sho
In the same episode that Slickrick is talking about there is a classic line where skinner requests 'Now nibbles, chew through my ball sack'. You must see it to understand. See My Vest is a definite highlight. The 'Sugar speech', as it has become known in our house (sadly I can repeat the whole thing regardless of how drunk I am, and do, frequently and at great volume. May explain my single status!) Marge asks Homer when he wi
I'm wearing stupidly high heeled boots, rolled up jeans and a black top. About to go to the pub then out for a big (and I think) well deserved night of drunken idiocy. Have a brill weekend! Suz xxx
Thanks Shovel. I think soon it shall be time for me to turn my hand to a different topic. This one is getting a little tired...
I've been on a few internet dates (get out the branding iron and burn 'LOSER' onto my forehead now) and they've been fine. Sure, there was the guy who asked me to join him and his 'friend' for a threesome (he seemed to think that because we were both Australian I'd be into it - as though all of us Aussies automatically sleep with each other) Or the one who told me he shaved his balls over our first drink. Or the one with the missing toe... Actually, ma
I was raised Catholic, although I certainly don't count myself as one now, but I have experienced first hand how much the Pope means to many people. He has lived his life dedicated to his god and to his church. He is a public figure and whilst no one would begrudge him a private death, I doubt that he would feel the need for one. Many people will experience his death as though someone very close to them died, and if the only way they can access him is
Now... the little one's asleep and I will get off the trivialities and back on topic. It's an interesting question that you pose about collective paranoia. Just after that Spanish train crash there was a high level of concern about terrorism in London. Many people chose to change the route they took to work in order to avoid certain possible danger zones. For example, the Picadilly Line on the tube is one of the major commuting lines. Some of
I got 45. Yep - that's me! I definitely find myself being central in groups, although I don't strive to be the centre of attention. A few times I've tried to be the one who sits back and takes everything in - I wish I was more of a listner sometimes - but it seems to unnerve those around me. Last time I tried it (which will probably be the last time I ever bother) my friends thought that something seriously wrong had happened! One of my psych lecturers
The poor thing! My nephew had the same thing last week. I never again want to see any poos or spews! It's terrifying how much weight they lose in such a short time as well. Make sure you are washing your hands obsessively - I avoided catching it as well, but my sister was not spared such a fate. Take care and I hope he's better soon! Suz xxx</
*drool* Mick Hart???? I am so sad that I left my Mick Hart CD's with a friend back home. I have been wanting to listen to Butterfly for too long! He actually wrote a song for the fiance of a friend of mine who died. The name of the song is escaping me now... I've never seen Gomez, which is a shame and something that I need to recitfy. I have never heard a bad review of them. I saw Doves the other night, who were amazing. And went to
Isn't it funny how much crap we can put ourselve into and still pretend we're happy? I think it also has something to do with thinking that something is better than nothing. However [WARNING : Massive Ego Approaching] I always seem to have a number of potential suitors at my disposal, so it's not as tho
Hey babe, My thoughts are really with you right now. It's so hard when the one person that is causing you pain seems to be the only one that can cure it... and that's the one thing that they can't do. Big hugs, and remember that you can take as much time as you need to get over something. Take care, Suz xxx
Heya, I take it that your techonology issues have been dealt with? Or are you still bashing your head against a virtual wall? I would really like to thank you for all of your kind comments and support. I'd been away from JU for a while and, even though it sounds ridiculous, I was feeling a little nervous about coming back - as though I would be viewed as one of those friends that you only see when everything is going to shit for them.
I will respond to this properly, I promise, but for now I think you should know that I GOT FLOOR TICKETS TO BECK!!!!!!!! Just another happy reminder of how kick arse it is living over here....
Hey Cordelia, That's a beautiful poem. I've heard the final line before and never knew where it was from. I'm going to email you today, so I won't double up here! Maso, That sounds like a beautiful song. I miss writing music. Maybe I should pick up my guitar again and channel some of this energy? As for this having a whisker of truth? Sadly it's all true, I just got sick of writing from my first person perspective as
She watched the reflection of the road slipping away behind them as they neared her house. The silence in the car was melancholic and contemplative. They had reached the end and neither really understood why. She loved him, and he her, but not in the way that she needed him to. ‘Fundamentally fucked’ was the way she described it, as subtle and elegant as always. <BR
Then it would seem that you are making the right move! You must be going soon, no?
Yes, we should all feel sorry for you Phoenix, when we've been having snow and minus temperature. Where are you moving to again? Byron? No sympathy from me, my dear man
My little slant on the situation is that people are driven more by fear than anything else. We're living in larger cities, surrounded by many, many more people than ever before, yet we're more isolated and disconnected. Without a feeling of community - that feeling that if you drop the ball, someone will be around to help you pick it up, or even do it for you - the only thing that we can focus on to guarantee some form of safety is ourselves. If I don'
Sadly I've no advice to offer. The only thing that will help is time. Be kind to yourself - do some things that you really enjoy that are just about you. There are always compromises in relationships - do some of the things that have fallen by the way side due to your relationship. Catch up with old friends. Sit on your bed and cry. Just do whatever it is that feels right at the time. We're all thinking of you, babe. Take care of you,
