Jay-z2k I was just browsing throught the WB section and came across his work again. Damn nice stuff! Very clean and smooth. I remember using skins like @mosphere, Pro2type, X Pulse, and SymbiOS for quite a long time during my vacation from skinning. A few other authors come to mind now also as MIA: Shawn Murdock D.A.K. Decoder BaT I'm sure there are more. Just another one of those things that make ya go: hmmmm...

My thought would be to limit the number of skins available to the non-subscribers/non-customers. Show them the latest 20 skins from from each section. This would prevent the mulitple registrations to come back and get more and would also eliminate the bandwidth problem. But it would also give the trial software users enough skins to be able to see if they like the program enough to actually buy it. Just my 2 cents! <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/hot.gif" border=0 ALI

As for altered skins, I look at it a bit differently. I was recently asked if one of my skins could be uploaded as a port for another program but told him to upload a shot here to see what it looked like and to see how others react to it. No permission yet, as I'd like to see a few things changed. Am I an arse? I think not. It's my skin after all and maintaining it's quality no matter what program it's on is my responsibility. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/hot.gif" border=0

I'm adding Smart Button support into my new skin but there seems to be a problem with the quickl.wbp - the menu will come up but nothing happens after clicking a selection. Anybody know if I've done something incorrectly or if this is a known bug? TIA, Merc

After several attempts and several different mask configurations, I've had to drop the idea of adding custom color support. The masks just flatten things out more than is acceptable to me and dramatically lowers the quality of the skin. If the demand is high enough I'll probably add some extra color choices. Old Crab: I was debating with that also, thanks! <img src="http://images.stardock.com/im

Personally, I'd like to see all the features incorporated in WB. I liked the idea of WebBlinds but could never get myself to actually fire it up and dig through it. When new features are added to WB I don't have to look at it as a whole new program to learn, just more stuff to manipulate in WB. As far as skinning goes, I'm pretty much one track. I dabbled a little in LiteStep and a few others but they couldn't hold my interest like WB has. Sure, all that WB can skin now can be a bit ov

I'm working on a new skin, https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.asp?library=13&SkinID=1154 but I'm not sure if I want to add custom color support to it. It was done with 2 very specific walls in mind and I'm not sure it would look well in a different color. Anybody feel like helping out? TIA, Merc

While you're sweepin' up how about fixing the cookies. I get one site theme for the front page and a different one for the rest of the site! By the way, Thanx for fixing the screenshot archive!

Toxic is exactly the skin I was talking about. If you pick that skin apart you'll see the "animation" is part of the title bar and the mouse over states of the buttons have transparency that allows you to see it. The only limiting factor is the frame rate is the same as what you choose for the title bar. The "animations" don't do anything except show through the transparency, the action is still defined by the button.

There are plenty of skins with side buttons, I've done quite a few myself. (becareful if you look at my skins though, I've got some really old and ugly stuff still posted here!) And BoXXi is right, they look cool but are a pain to get used to. As for animated title bar buttons, I don't think they are possible yet. But you can fake it by putting the animation on the title bar and using transparent areas on the buttons. I don't remember the name of the skin that it was done on first but i

You wont find the 2.2 plugin at WBStuff but I did find all of the original stuff I got from Redllar when I was testing the new plugin for him. Go here: http://www.mwpce.com/WindowBlinds/temp/WBWinMenu22.zip to get the full package for 2.2. I also have his email if you need it.

WBWinMenu is a free plugin originally done by Shane Lardinois. The version in SexPistons and my Assimilated skin is modded by Redllar. I'll see if I can find his site info for you but in any case they are free to use in any skin but you need to include the entire package of information inside the skin.
