While I disagree with large portions of the article (and will probably blog a response at some point) I did find it very interesting. Thank you for bringing it to my attention. Limbaugh (apparently) tips low paid waiters/waitresses well but objects to paying taxes to help those same people....why? <

The problem with my BS-meter is that it doesn't tell me what is wrong. I just get this vague feeling that things aren't quite right. Unfortunately I have a tendency of dismissing it. It does seem to be better than 99% right, though. I'm working on paying better attention to it, even without having rational facts to back "the vague feeling" up.

I wonder what the insulting statements were? I'm trying to find out. My best source would have been a Linda Ronstadt message board, but it appears the administrator deleted the relevant messages. Grrr. I'm trying to find a non-journalist who was actually there. Original reports indicated the c

I feel for you. The real estate nazi put me through hell to get my deposit back. All the neighbors agreed the place looked far better when I left than when I arrived and that she was just harrassing me. I had to keep going back to the place for two full weeks after I'd officially moved. What happens if it doesn't meet their requirements? I'll be sending positive vibes your way. <img src="../images/smiles/smile.gif" border=0 ALIGN="abs

In many of the recent "Fahrenheit 9/11" inspired discussions of Michael Moore, our left-leaning blogger friends would attempt to defend their pudgy anti-hero by decrying what they considered the right's "journalists" of excess: Ann Coulter and Rush Limbaugh. Again and again anytime something was said against Mr.

Whenever I use IE and have to use the editor here I get double line breaks and most everything I do has to be redone. I wondered why some people had perpetual double line breaks. This probably explains it. Cool. Another mystery of JU solved for me. <img src="../images/smiles/smile.gif" border=

I haven't seen too many people here admit that they are a Republican. In fact, I can't think of any. What a clever ruse to draw us out into the open. "Aw shucks," he twanged through buck-teeth while leaping from his protective cover; "we're all over here!" Now what happens? Anyway, I've "admi

I doubt that we tested in on 5 or below. Stripped that toolbar right off! Interesting. I'm using IE 5.0 (for Mac) and my comment box looks like Kingbee's second graphic. I never knew there was more! Oh well, I'm not worried about it. <img src="../images/smiles/smile.gif" border=0 ALIGN="a

Kayles Sorry, Gene, didn't mean to steal your comment! No problem. Since I don't have Trump-level lawyers, my Trademark application for "Um, no thank you ®" was rejected. It is now public domain property. However, if <

Um, no thank you! Have you ever seen the glass with built in LED's that can turn the clear glass opaque? I saw a restaurant that had those kinds of doors on the bathrooms. You could see into the toilets till someone went inside then it went grey. I don't trust that either! And the cubicles weren't set into a seperate "restroom" either, they were individual little rooms visible fro

Maybe I should be glad I'm not a power user? I do have that problem with my handtyped HTML in comments. Usually, though, I can just click "edit" and retype what got cut out and it works fine. Does that work with the articles? Clicking "edit" and repasting the original text? If not I think I'll be happy to stay a lowly citizen. I need my HTML editor. <img src="../

It worked. The yellow box is inserted by JU when it sees the "
(insert quoted text here)
" -- It automatically inserts the code for the yellow box where the JU "quote" tag is. So type (without the quotemarks), "
" followed by the text you want to quote, followed by, "
" Easy. <img src="../images/smiles/smile.gif" borde
