Luckily, my little guy told a pregnant mom who had a little boy his age that he couldn't find mommy. See, that's a good thing. He knows what to do. The one time I couldn't find my mother (in a grocery store) I went to the butche

I think what many people see as weaknesses and bad points of JoeUser (including those calling it Site X) are actually JoeUser's strengths. The points, the community atmosphere, the forum, the "auto-syndication" of the sidebar -- brilliant. I'm even looking for ways to adapt some of these things to my personal site. The solution to not having those things is simple -- blog elsewhere. Negatives instantly eliminated. If

Maybe I am making too big of a deal out of it. I've heard other people say recently that now PG-13 is like R, etc. (Heck, I remember saying that in the 70's. -- I was a hip child. ) And I've certainly been surprised by some of the language, etc. allowed in PG-13 films lately. It used to be "f--k" was an instant R. I think I saw a PG-13 recently that had the word, though. I'm tryi

Gene, It's OK to use my name in connection with the QUESTIONING of certain joeusers. I wasn't sure it was appropriate. Actually, I was so queasy about it I had come back to cut everything from "what carebear was questioning" to "just don't make any sudden moves," but you had already responded.

Around here (where Highway 95 goes right through the middle of town) they do the work in the middle of night. One night I was coming home from the casinos and they had squished the southbound traffic down to one cramped lane. They had a 15 mph sign out. I was going 5-10 mph. Very slow. As I pass, this flag idiot steps out and yells "Slow down!" I screamed back, "Get out of the F&*^%ing road you idiot!" and kept going. What? Did he wan

By the way, chasing it around, trying to find out who said what and who said it originally is probably counter productive. (Even though I just did it.) Ultimately it started with Ashlee. I'm surprised you all didn't know what was going on and hadn't heard these sentiments being voiced before. And I again appologize that I was the conduit through who you found out. It may be for the best that it is all out in the air, though. You probably neede

I said this on carebear's "You want the Truth" article but I'll say it again here: Actually I'm afraid I started this all with my response to your "you people don't come to see me anymore!" plea where I suggested it might be because of what I had read

Now the even "bleep" the word "God" like it is an obscenity. They've done that for a long time. I always found it ironic that in the word "Goddamn" the part they bleeped was "God." They also tend to bleep "Jesus" and "Christ." It's an old blasphemy thing -- but still terribly ironic. </fo

In it he said that you should only respond to a comment if you have something to say. Now I disagree with this. Now that you mention it, yes I do recall it. I also recall disagreeing with it when I read it. I'd probably have an e

Wow, that really surprises me. I'd have thought they knew all about manger scenes since those Ashcroft pics involved several sheep, a donkey, and a little boy drumming... er... "something." (Yeah, no-one ever believes this when I tell them, but you just "Baaah" as Johnny-boy walks by and watch the reaction you get! And if you indiscreetly whistle "The Little Drummer Boy" you'd better be wearing a bullet-proof vest. There's an intern story that

So I'm sitting here, waiting for something good to pop up on the sidebar. A new article. A new comment on a thread I am following. Anything. It's times like this I wonder why I was distressed to (temporarily) be <A HREF="https://www.joeuser.com/ArticleComments.a

Okay, Kingbee, here's whatcha do: Pick up your phone receiver. Tap the flash button till the dial tone stops. Say very distinctly, pausing between each phrase, "Bomb.... President.... White House.... Those pics of John Ashcroft." Sit back and wait. They'll come to you. ("Honey, why does the Domino's guy have an Uzi?")

Are you thinking about Tom Clancy's novels when you wrote this? Actually I was satirizing the opinions of some of the combatants in the latest War of the JoeUsers (which one person said involved "half of the active users"). Feel happy that you are not involved. <img src="../images/smiles/smile.gif" bor

To my regular (and not so regular) readers: You may be wondering where my new articles are. Short answer: Nowhere. Last month's conflict stripped me of most any desire to blog. Or do anything else for that m

Anyone that advocates removing the rights of others should NOT have those rights himself, whether he is serious or joking. LMFAO. You might want to reread some of your comments of late before advocating that....

"Hello? Homeland Security ? Good I want to report terrorist threats. I was reading this book and the guy in it said... no it was a novel.... What do you mean? You mean you don't care that this guy said...? What is wrong with you people? So if he phoned in a bomb threat.... Yeah! If the guy in the novel phoned in a bomb threat...! So that's okay with you

That's awesome! It took you all that long to realize the Adventures With Capt. Cornbread weren't really about me? That either makes you more clever than Sir Peter or us really dumb. Or both. <img src="../images/smil
