AmulekBird, did you reload a saved game? Influence needs two turns to rebuild after an reload.
Actually, no, I am aware of the refresh time for influence. This happened several times during a continuous 3 hour session. Thanks for asking, though. That was my first thought, by I squashed it as soon as I realized it couldn't be that way--influence just kept turning on and off. I'm betting that it got so high that the game had a hard time dealing with the calculations--de
Cari, I have an interesting little predicament. I've already won this game, but while I was playing I had ten fully moduled "culture stars" or "party planets" whatever you call a terror star with +343% influence. This was resulting in >40,000,000 influence. The only problem was that every once and a while the influence would just turn off. I've sent the save game to you, Cari. [Message Edited]
Did anyone else notice that the Metaverse is displaying names and scores in a smaller font than it did before? Just an observation.
More on sentry / guard / other ship options: If you use the info panel for a ship (the round i button) you get a full list of things that the ship could do. Its one way to manage the rally points and things of that nature, if you are like me and can't memorize the hotkeys.
The only problem is that all of the options aren't necessarily there. If you use info, there is no indication that constructors can "guard," but if you hit "G" they most certainly do (not that the
Oh, I get it. (sheepish grin)
Wait, version 1.20.235 build 34? That's the next update after 1.13. Something is up.
I however always choose pure good
Ditto to that!!!
Off topic, but, Cari, why don't you ever submit your games? The Stardockians deserve to log some points, you know!! ;)
I think we should all assume the same identity for one hour every month, just to see what happens (kind of like a masquerade party!!) LOL
Those are the choices they have been talking about. If you pick the first choice, it makes you more good (not bad grammar, I promise). If you pick the middle choice, it does not change your morality. If you pick the third, and most tempting, choice, it makes you more evil. Hope that helps.

Good (though not very entertaining) advice.
Have e-mailed the CariElf, she normally replies to me pretty quickly
But how will she know who to respond to if we all have the same name?? ;)
Oops??!!
Seriously, though, what is going on?? Is there any way any one knows to alert Stardock? Or do we just have to wait until one of them checks the forum?? AmulekBird [Message Edited]
It's the empire of the clones!!! They have cloned everyone. AAUGH!!!
If the Yor were pure evil and you were pure good or vice versa (I don't know if you had said so or not), I don't think even giving them your firstborn will bring them close. I hope you succeed next time around.
By the way, oldgamster, RB was a great choice for you for an empire. You'll fit in well there!LOL
What about those of us who preordered? When do we get to download the beta?
hey me neither. but i guess alex is busy
Check post #167 ;) [Message Edited]
Pedro, mswaim is right. However, there is only one way to match the AI growth. You must maintain 100% morale almost all the time. You need to build soil enhancement and habitat improvements early. Make em happy and give em room to grow. You will match and usually beat the AI population growth. Hope that helps.
Did you get the Draginol warning earlier in the game? Have the Draginol come? That is usually what causes this crash. If they haven't come, evacuate the planet they are coming to and don't resettle it, ever. If they have come, find an earlier save game because it will keep crashing. Hope there's good news somewhere in there.
But I am already a diplomat!!!!!!
Then, Paul, it's time to finally come home!!LOL
Frogboy, thanks for the changes/additions. I mentioned this elsewhere, but could you add a new type of "terror star"? Same idea only without the stellar destruction. Many players already use a floating culture starbase. Why not make a thing called "party planets" and allow them to take the place of a terror star with influence modules? Make them a step past party palace. (Though requiring several modules to build it is still a good idea). Just an idea I've been tossing around. Thanks for
