Hi, Thanks for the 2nd link as my stardock account doesn't provide any useful link at all thus my publication here. So, I've downloaded it, thank you again, time to tweak my actual dark mode, at least what these §µ%$£# of microsoft keeping to hardcode some parts of the UI. Even in W10/Win11, in dark mode, the system has still some parts not acting accordingly.

Hi, I've donwloaded the last windowblinds version znd tested it with the few usable dark skins as I still use a windows 7 not offering dark mode : the fact is that my glaucoma decided to go on 5th gear 2 years ago and the few percent left of my eyesight really doesn't cope well with white backgrounds/black text. As of now dark mode skin is my favorite but the changing colors windows is so !%ù¤^@# that I remembered skinstudio... Except that I can't find it. Clicki

hi, I'm using at the moment Dark Mode theme https://skins14.wincustomize.com/13/95/1395545/1/8824/preview-1-8824.jpg on W7 and besides having hard time to make it work well with that §#%à@ piece of s h it named chrome or firefow for that matter I was wondering what's your best dark theme for windowblinds (and eventually for your prefered browser)... <p

Hi, thanks for your imput but there's something I just don't understand... how can I modify the settings for a non existent resource.. ? My preview pop-up section is empty as I have no pictures set for this area (yet) ! This must be some kind of entanglement from another section like colors for text in all programs affecting (I don't remember) another area, don't you think ?

Do you mean the item in 'startmenu and taskbar/preview popup' ? Because I don't have any resources used there for any of the 4 sub sections (preview background, preview item, close button, user icon frame)... Anyway, thanks for your time !

Sorry, my bad, without backgrounds for H or V scrollbars, I get no scrollbars at all. I use a white background. I've replaced the arrows by a white zone also.

Is that so.. ? I couldn't tell as I don't have uxpatcher installed but why in that matter, when I put no background for the scrollbar, I get some color showing, letting windows paint whatever was "underneath" the scrollbar ? When I should have an area the color of the background of the windows, white or whatever it is set..

What really puzzles me is what happened last night when working on my skin, in the start menu section, to notice some time after that my roll-up (again..) sized moved from 28 to 100 and something pixels, changing one graphic ressource and some margins did that. I'm trying to alter the font color in the All Programs section and even if I'm setting in skinstudio Startmenu and Taskbar/Startmenu/Left hand side/All programs mode / the font color in the text tab, my start menu/all programs stays hopelessly black. The background color changes tho, as I want it but not the font color... Any idea.. ?

I don't get it... A skin like Naked is able to make transparent Explorer and IE/Explorer windows/Explorer Info pane/Background and Explorer and IE/Explorer windows / Command bar/ Background with a bmp but when I replicate the same parameters with even the same ressources, I don't get anything...

No, I don't have uxpatcher installed even I was considering it, I just took a look at it and was researching the available skins. I know I haven't coded anything in ages, I hacknowledge that today's chip are a bit different than the 68000 motorola and it's predecessors but I do remember the trap function allowing one to bypass the OS so I don't get why we are stuck between a restrictedd software and nothing... the real problem is that the software is buggy.. But you're right about transparency, available only on some parts of the start menu. I just regret that WB is so limited comparatively to uxpatcher.. You're not even entitled to transparent scrolbars !

NO worry, I wasn't picking on Greg, just stating the obvious ! As for my system it's 7 x64. It's such a disappointment to notice that stardock lets slip away the only effective customisation suite available for windows as I happened to click in skinstudio on the link "Check the wiki to see if there is more information on this section" to land on a 404 error page.. So WB and skinstudio are out since what, 6 or 8 years and there still no wiki,

I have some issues using transparency and blur with my last skin. Skinstudio allows for blur to be put under the start menu, doesn(t work here Shadows for the start menu also can be displayed, doesn't work either.. Setting some parts of explorer to transparent deosn't work when, obviously, some skins like naked noir uses them and for me setting ! Command bar,status bar and other parts using transparent pngs won't work....

a windows 8 bug, maybe. Certainly affecting windows 7 x 64 when it was working just great with WB 7.xx. I've already told stardock about this many month ago since the first 8.xx and it's still there. For the transparency, my skin has an active/inactive state, visible with my previous WB installation. With the 8.12, the transparent part of the inactive state is just gone, there is no transparency at all. Obviously something has changed.
