Anthony, why do you seem to assume liberals at all end of the spectrum are the same? should I compare you with a segragationalist or members of the KKK just because you're all on the right? I guess so if you choose to classify all liberals as consipircy nuts with the idea bush started a earthquake in iran.

"Improving the quality of living of muslims in Syria, Pakistan and Palestine is the only way that I see to drain the swamp of hopelessness and resentment that breeds the terrorists that are currently attacking us. In my mind, this one objective makes this a "just" war, regardless of what actually happened to the WMDs, connections to al Qaeda, or anything else." I greatly respect this idea and is what i have tried to illustrate myself before but i simply do not believe armed intervention

Michael More probably does warp facts a bit to make it fit the mold of his opinions, but then again, who doesnt? we all try to make what we know agree with what we believe in. You can disagree with Michael Moore or agree with him, but i believe he deserves a bit of respect for simply acting on what he believes is right. Since when did criticizing the government and championing the poor become a act of treason? If so than that would be undermining the basic foundation of democracy. If you can pro

What in the world does racism have to do with anything? grab a dictionary buddy, im not discriminating against any race of people Your idea of "hugely successful" is just that, your idea. If the people of a certain country prefer a theocracy and they prefer religious unity vs religious dissention, thats their choice. Now I am aware that Iraq is not exactly the best example for this so i dont need you self-rightious hypocrits to tell me saddam was a dictator. "I

"how Iraq is a double-win for U.S. Ideology and Interests." this statement illustrates my points exactly. you believe that forcing american ideology and intreasts on another country can improve that country and yours. It doesn't. The american system of mostly unrestricted capatalism may have worked just peachy here but that doesn't mean it will work everywhere else too. "Some of us feel that that way of life is worth protecting." Do you honestly consider spending trillions of

is it just me or is this whole website filled with conservative and ignorant right wingers? AJ was just trying to bring up an idea and now u people r trying to crucify him. "Please don't villianize the United States just because you feel we are a threat to whatever puny country you live in." This must be the most arrogant statement ive heard in a long while (kinda refreshing). The current administration isnt just an international loose cannon, it is also a domestic time bomb. That t

"Machi - it's really hard to take you seriously when you're such an extremist. So now America "trained" Hussein and put him in power." i think its u that needs to pick up a history book. The US placed Hussein in power and gave him money and weapons to fight off the Iranians in the 80s. In world war 1 and 2, the US did not intervene even when the europeans were begging for help. In world war 1, the US sold both weapons to Germany and Great Britian to benefit economically. You qu

no, i was just curious because all ur arguments centered around the assumption the bible should have been taken figuratively. I have always felt that the only way christianity can survive is to have the bible taken this way. Becuz the simple fact is that 50 years down the road, it will become very hard to convince anybody that the world is only 5 thousand years old...etc

I have made sum frequent posts on the "politics" section of this forum. mostly discussing the validity of the war on terror. When i realized that there was no clear cut answer to any of it. You can argue all u want that the war on terror/ iraq war was completely justified, humane..etc. Or u can argue that America had 9/11 coming all along. But the bottom line is nobody knows who's justified and who's not. 200 years down the road however, when the history books r being written to educate the next

well... if we did then there would be alot more spieces goin extinct, alot more polution, and that nice hole in the ozone is gonna get ALOT bigger. I dont believe the government should control ur land, but sum regulations r needed.

I would also like to add that ur hypocrisy is amazing. america trained saddam hussein, america put him in power, america trained bin laden, america gives him weapons to fight the soviets. Now america doesnt need them any more so america guts millions of civilians to get rid of it's own puppet. I know sum body out there is gonna say that i need 2 consider the ppl killed in 9/11. Without the tactical training Bin laden recieved from the CIA, those towers would have never gone down like that.

The FDA has restrictions against that practice (the name escapes me but i like 2 call it forced cannabalism). This incident should serve as a wake up call for the FDA to improve inspections and make a more efficent system for regulations

Fisrt off, ive nv supported terrorism, thats the problem with u americans, u seem to think that whoever doesnt agree with u must be allied with the terrorists, which is an immature, black and white view of the world. Secondly, my question is whether or not america would choose appeasement over destruction. U seem to so eagarly suggest America, and its population would eagarly choose destruction. While president bush may consider it his "divine mission" to destroy terrorism (he refered to the war

In return to Brad for his seemingly arrogant comments on my experiences. I was born in china, traveled europe, Japan for a year (hated it), Canada for three and obtained citizenship. Now im in the US. Now to ur comments. I agree with ur Wahkonta on the japanese views on racism. And not all of brad's examples r correct, Turks r treated much better in Europe than in America. This is just another piece of evidence that shows that the isrealis as a people seem to view themselves as superior than everybody else. While other countries tend to encourage assimiliation of the population to prevent violence/discrimination, the isrealis seem to discourage it. This attitude towards other cultures and races could be traced to one of the reasons of the mideast crises.

well... i guess it all boils down to the fact that none of us can really prove it either way. I never realli attacked the idea of whether or not there is a creative design behind the universe. I attacked the way humans have insitutionalized this belief and used as an excuse for atrocities, scientific inhibitions, hypocrisy, etc.
