In less than 5 hours, I will start my Christmas vacation. While I'm due to film a workshop on January 8th, it's just a 4 hour gig. From then on, things are up in the air. We're awaiting funding results to see if I will be hired on a full-time basis. And while I look like the prime candidate for the job (experienced, graduate of similar program, financiall

Merry Christmas back to you and Toni. It's nice to see successes and lots of happiness in your life. Congrats, and thank you for making JU a good community. Your efforts and participation are most welcome and appreciated. Nicky

I disagree with some of the statements that you've made, and agree with other comments. I believe that anyone, can and should stand up for their beliefs whether they are a celebrity or not. The benefits of celebrity-dom is the opportunity to reach a wider audience, even if it is not in their so-called field of employment. However, with these benefits should come greater responsibility to understand all implications of public speaking for

"We don't sell Tic Tacs, we sell cigarettes. And they're cool, available, and addictive . My favorite lighting designer says "If there is more than one way to do the job, pick the simple one." So many times, performers ask for so much to be set up, when really, they're there to perform, not to get all nitpicky about things. We try to break everything down to the simplest way possible without sacrificing artistic intent, and everyone seems to end up a lot happier. <TABLE cellpadding=8 width="95%" align=center bgColor=#FFF394 clas

My favorite is Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister. I loved that book! I haven't read much else, but have read a lot of interviews that he's done, about the idea of using established writing as a jumping off point. I loved the fact that he's taken some very old stories and added so much to them to make

hahaha, I thought it was going to be a recipe, or something you had to eat recently. But really, I can't get over how insane some drivers are. Good for you for doing the smart thing.

Cherish the moment, Nick. sounds like good advice. But I still can't help feeling that this is all bittersweet.

designing the sound for it Are you crazy? Haha. Though, half the things I like about the theatre is how often I'm just flung into new things. For the first couple of months, I walked around asking the most inane questions. This production? I'm not the new guy anymore, and people are asking me questions. I don't get the low shit-jobs, either.<b

I always bitch and moan about my physique, which is not super-model-ish at all. But honestly, that pizza and cake that I had this afternoon is the reason why. I don't feel discouraged, or disgusted, or even guilty about ingesting this good-tasting but not entirely good-for-you food... it was damned good. Why ruin it with negative feelings? Work has been ins

Yeah, I would have been ticked, too. And don't these things always happen when you have to pick up your child from school (carpool), even if they don't happen that often? I would have peaked!

8:00am is sleeping in. Sunday morning, my girl sleeps in until ten am, I am wide awake at 6:45. I could have slept in, if my body would let me! even if I'm horrendously hung over! oooh, tell me

I had to do it... say goodbye to my yahoo mail account. Too much spam, too little time to go through it all. I wanted very badly to go to Ottawa tonight to catch a rock show. Disappointed? Yes. Relieved? Yes. Because I found out that they would be playing at the end of January in my hometown. I have hopes to meet up with a frien

Ha! I still haven't sent out my Christmas cards, yet. I might get mocked after all! That's a nice list. Mine is simple: CLEAN! Maybe I'll make it a New Year's Resolution, though........

I'm not big on the jesus-freaks. I'm appreciative of those who have faith, but those who hammer and accuse aren't the ones I'd turn to at the end of times. I like the weirdos. The ones who are too angry, too emotional, too ballsy, too anything. I love those that are just out there, but can't be around it 24-7 either. I like spice. Coming from a

Everything is gearing up where I work, too. Poor students. They all look so nervous and exhausted. Good luck, and stay cool. The only pressure is that which you put on yourself. One thing at a time, and then it won't look so bad. Knock wood.
