sViz, I would suggest you take and load desktopx, switch to "builder" mode, then import a widget that you are interested in seeing how works. You can look at the code and see how things are done. Then try and setup something similar. You might also want to look up "VBSCRIPT" on the internet and see how it works, as that is the main language (well Javescript as well) in DX. Ok ok ok ok.. the "reserve edge of screen" is PERFECT!! Now, let me be able to do this with DX v3.2 or is it 3.3? So i can make a "DOCK" that can reserve the screen area i want to make avail for my screen. IE: Like the GalCivII dock im playing with, it would be great to be able to block off the top/sides/bottom of the screen for the dock!! Keep up the great work all!!

Thats fixed.. see the NOTE. Also, Thomas had an idea of putting a transparent box for the resizer so it wouldnt show the object moving when you resized it fast. Will update this when i can.

I believe that in order to rate a skin, you need to first download it, not just LOOK at it, or judge it on the screen shot (unless it’s a wall paper or screen shot, and why would you rate a screen shot??). Widgets, WB skins, and lots of other skins have a LOT in them you can’t see in a screen shot. Also, I think that if you want to rate a skin it should show your nick as well as your rating. I think a good idea would be to have it FTP to a "common" location and then set a "flag" that there is a new file on the computer your sending the file to, and it would be able to ftp into the same location and download the file. I have not tried anything to do with FTP from DX so im not sure how it works, or how it can be setup. But it could be an interesting idea.
The right version is actually in the "ABOUT" box in each gadget. I will look at getting the "latest" versions uploaded, im not sure why they floppy is being probed, as i dont recal the gadget version ever having the code from the one that probed the floppy. Hey all.. Glad your enjoying the "toys" Got a LOT more on the way.. Keep checking back for more! Notes: The weather "should" work world-wide. The Drive meter was fixed NOT to probe the floppy. (thought i had that working on all the test systems) - Will look into it. I am not employed by stardock, just love DX and GalCivII !! Keep checking back, got some REALLY great ones coming!

Does that work if there is no proxy? Meaning if i make a gadget and some people have a proxy and some don't will it work for both? or do i need something in the pref's to say "use proxy"?
