when kirby works, it'll suck the carpet right off the floor <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/smiles/Laugh.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmid
Right you are, Jafo!!
I once bought a Kirby vacuume cleaner for $1000. THey said there was not another one built as tough or as strong, and they would guarantee full repair of any Kirby part (motor, hoses, plastic adapters) should it break, for no cost to the consumer. This is what the sales person said to my husband and myself as she was cleaning our carpeting. Twenty years later, The motor started to heat up, we called Kirby, and we were told that Kirby would rebuil
and had cut out the UPC code so he could get it. I smell a rat! Purhaps he dropped it while retrieving the UPC symbol. Just because there was nothing physically damaged on the outside, doesn't mean it wasn't damaged on the inside. Since you bought the new hardware from him, can we a
Oops, double post and Paul you beat me to a similar thought!
Even more to consider would be whether a large company that provides a limited liftime warranty on their product considers the sellers on ebay as retailers.
If I had taken the product and tossed it into a wall, I would not expect the company to support the product. I would have clearly abused the product, and would be forfeiting my rights to support of the product in doing so. How do you know that the person who sold you the product didn't throw
In my many years experience as a consumer, I have come to an awareness that there is no such thing as a "Lifetime Warranty." A LIMITED Lifetime warranty, yes, but not a true lifetime warranty. And if someone cons you into believing that their product comes with a lifetime warranty without explaining the true meaning behind the "fine print," then you have been suckered into a retailers dream, and a quagmire of legal jargon of
And a VERY well deserved promotion!!
Happy Birthday, Paul! Hope it's a great one for you! Hey, let's dance!
Yes..and I was also told that this is an error on a moderators part. Something should not be uploaded to the site that sat in moderation for 4 days with a 4 day old date. It should be reset to the day it was in fact uploaded. I've never seen a skin of mine updated to the date it was released by moder
I noticed that icon and wondered the same thing, aimzzz.
Here's a closer look at some of the new higher resolution Vista Icons still in beta. Click on each icon to see a larger view. Apparently, they still need some tweaking, but this is the basic overall look to them. They're not bad. Not spectacular, but not bad! http://vista-icon-editor.com/browse-vista-icons/
I keep getting the error message :** String or binary data would be truncated. The statement has been terminated" whenever I try to upload. Anyone else getting this today? HELP! Donna
To moderate discretely, is to me, almost well... sneaky. "Let's see who we can catch in the act." To let users know who is moderating, that there are certain guidelines that need to be followed, and that moderators will enforce those guidlines, is more respectful of everyone involved. Just my two cents. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/smiles/Wink.gi
Only one thing for me...that the WC Browser would update itself as often as skins are uploaded to the gallery. I don't use the Browser because it's too much of a bother to continually update it. I just come directly to the site. I love the fact that we can have our own sites!! To me, that is the biggest draw.
I had downloaded RAR about a year ago, and after the 30 days it stopped functioning. However, I just downloaded it again, and it's allowing me to have another trial version. Hmmm... Beats the heck out of me!?! Thanks for the link, Island Dog. I'll try it out.
It's free? Unless my eyes decieve me, I see a trial version which expires after the trial is over, but not a free version.
Happy Birthday, herb, man!
Does this mean Fuzzy Logic is moderating all the icons, bootskins and logons? I thought this was divided up amongst the moderators? I didn't realize one moderator was responsible for a certain skinning section and/or more. No wonder you're tired, Michael! Yes, get some rest! <
I dedicate all this gray to Sleeping Dragon!
Thanks, Brad. It's good to know we're getting more moderators!
Well, at least it's not just me! Thank you for responding Cavan1. I hope someone can explain to us what's going on and why this happens.
I know that everyone is busy (moderators, administrators). But I have noticed once again that misc icons have been left on the back burner. And for four days again. I know there is a five day waiting period to give administrators/moderators time to moderate all the skins on the site, however, it appears that there is more a consentration on other skins like wallpapers, OD icons, desktopX, and so on. I believe, at least from what I've noticed
