Awww, England. I want to go back. Cool pics. I try not to see what other online folks look like so I won't ever judge them that way, but I got suckered into this one. -A.

This article disgusted me. It's true, boys never grow up. You remind me of Calvin as in Calvin & Hobbes and his booger sandwiches that grossed Susie out. (That's actually quite complimentary, coming from me.) -A.

Ugh, that sucks. I'm sorry. Not like you don't already have to do that at high school and college grads, too--you'd think life would be a bit easier, but no. Anyway, sounds like you need to take a trip to the U.K. and Ireland. I'll go.... I can even drive over there (though not v. well). -A.

Oh, Dharma, I know the feeling. When I was 9, I was down in our dark basement where our cat had her kittens and I was reaching up to get a jar (so I must've been lifting one leg because, somehow, that makes you reach higher...?) and when I got it, my foot came down on one of our kittens' heads. I have never, ever cried so hard in my life. He didn't die right away, which made it even worse. Ugh. Even my dad cried and he *hates* cats. So sorry a

Raven, if you've seen the watered-down cable version, no good. The swearing, I'm abashed to say, is one of the best parts. (Just don't watch it with the volume turned up.) But you'll find someone who feels for your Mondays and relations to bosses, coworkers, etc. Hell, I identified with it when I was a student. Its applications are far-reaching. Anyway, I have it on DivX if you want.... Mig, see, there's another person I forgot to put on the l

Yeah, Danny, that's the attitude! (Too bad it doesn't work on Sundays, MNF, or Thursdays.) History, yeah, I sorta heard that rumor. The thing is, telling me that we're going to have a block of Abrahms TV on Wednesday nights only tells me I'm going to be watching a bunch of similar television, in a row. But maybe it works for other viewers, or maybe it makes the producers happy. I dunno. Tjesterb, I have to admit that I really don't ca

Thanks, LW. Consider it a virtual olive branch, maybe. I still think you and I may have some irreconcilable differences, but it was nice to recognize some common ground. I'm not very good at seeing that sort of thing, sometimes. Okay, most of the time. And since I usually avoid your articles, I didn't exactly have my eyes open. But, as Andrew Lincoln's character, Mark, in 'Love Actually' says, "It's sort of a self-preservation thing." (I hope

but I still find the widespread insularity of private school children leads them to snobbery and arrogance. Not it doesn't, you ignorant dolt! /joke <TABLE cellpadding=8 width="95%" align=center bgColor=#FFF394 class="mb-

Oh, y'all have very poor taste. THIN MINTS. And those peanut butter yummies. (Okay, okay, fine, have your own taste buds.) Geez, I wish some girl scouts would come my way. I could do with some cookie comfort right now.... -A.

ABC's "Desperate Housewives" stole the Sunday 9 p.m. slot from the network's other hit show, "Alias," which is due to premier in January and run straight through the end of the season (no annoying out-of-sequence episodes to mess you up, since the script is probably the most complicated in primetime television). General blog and viewer comments suggested it might take

Why do they schedule Football on Monday Nights over there? Is there a reason? It's a tradition started by one of our television networks (abc). I think it's been ongoing for something like 30 years. There's college ball on Saturday, most of the NFL games are Sunday at 10 or 1 (PST), then there's one Sun

Of course I think you're funny, Danny. And a bit troubled, but I read one of your last blogs and you seem to be thinking about working things out. Raven--I just commented on your Monday articles. When I finally go to work in two weeks (!) I'll be commiserating more. Only Mondays do have one highlight, that being Monday Night Football here in the U.S. <img src="../images/smiles/j

My parents are still living in 56kdom (that my dad is leeching from work--I suppose when you are the senior officer you can do that) Ha, when you said "56kdom" I thought you were telling us how much your dad earns. me = stupid tonight. En

Private for me, mostly. In some ways the education was far better than our public school counterparts, in terms of elementary school. I had great elementary school teachers until 7th grade, where my teacher was a bigot. At the end of the year my parents gave me the option of enrolling for 8th grade in our local junior high or skipping 8th grade and enrolling as a freshman in either high school or a private academy. I skipped and went to the ac

Reply By: stormy t.(Anonymous User) Posted: Sunday, November 21, 2004 You should put the times and the channel to 25 million dollar hoax. I'm trying to look for the channel and the time, but you don't have it. So I would get the time and channel on your site, because I bet 25 million other people are looking for the tim

I LOVE the trojan one...heh heh. You get my five bonus funny points for the day. They don't do anything to your score, though. -A.

Pleasant surprises...well, I, for one, didn't think you were pregnant. Didn't even enter my head. I can't say I've had any recently...my last batch of scones didn't burn, so that was good.... Oh, I do have one: My sister bought me a chocolate pig with little chocolate pig babies inside of it. Mmm. I'm going to finish it tonight when H can't see me eating it. (Perhaps during Desperate Housewives?) I love chocolate. Mmm. <TABLE cellpad

As someone who's still writing the wedding thank yous, I feel your pain. The guest list was the worst part--but after it's settled, things seemed to calm down. Best of luck. (And if you frequent theknot.com, don't listen to their stupid advice. It's very self-centered.) -A.

Okay, this is JU specific. These are the people on JU that I'm thankful for--and they're off the top of my head, for the most part, which means I'm likely to leave people out. Don't be offfended--I have a terrible memory. Also I think I have all these genders straight, and if I don't, I'm terribly, horribly, no-good, very badly embarrassed about it. *ahem*<
