Good article. As someone who feels sort of stuck in the middle about the whole election (yep, registered to vote as "Unaffiliated") I actually find the level of hate spewed at either side difficult to understand. I do understand feeling strongly about things, but both of the candidates are really such absolute insults to our country that I don't understand how someone could feel such an affiliation for one or the other. Of course, those who do feel

It sounds like he is getting used to things, so that is good. It is hard to hear them fussing and know you just need to leave them there, let them learn. Hope things go well Dharma. No fleas, man, they suck. I mean really suck. I know. I had fleas for two stinking years. Best of luck with those!
Thanks! I appreciate it.
I just don't get it. I don't even care if you aren't talking to the owner of a site you are hanging out at, calling people Nazis and Fascists is just idiotic. But to bite the hand that feeds you? Seems like the last time someone recommended doing that it was Weird Al in a little song called "Dare to be Stupid". What a bunch of morans. (yes, that was deliberate!)
Untitled Stardock recently released a program that had previously been an integrated part of Desktop X as a stand alone. That program was dubbed Icon X. In the time I have been playing with Icon X I have discovered a l
Looks like a great tool. For typing emails and on forums (and blogs!) I also use IEspell. It is a little plugin for IE that acts as a spell checker to anything you type on a page. Don't have the url off the top of my head, but a Google for iespell will get you there.
I have a problem. It is really a simple one, but one that has plagued me all of my marriage thus far (only 6 years and change). And I have recognized this problem for some time now, so it isn't news. Heck, my wife and I have talked about it as well. So she is privy to the problem. The truth is, I am a mechanic. And it infuriates my wife to no end
I would really like such a feature. I don't know for sure if I have been trolled before. I can certainly think of a time or two that I deserved and it probably happened, but just having to go off our score can get a bit tedious and inaccurate.
I am currently re-reading the entire series. And to be honest, the second time around book 5 isn't as frustrating for me as it was the first time. It was a little overboard with the teenage angst, but I remember being pretty pissed off most of the time when I was 15-16ish. And seeing how full of ridiculous angst my 15 year old sister is, well, Harry actually is coming off pretty normal right now. I do hope he grows out of it a bit before book 6 tho
Congratulations Dharma! Pie is one of my favorites, but we don't make it that often. My wife is also a big quiche fan so she makes that on occassion. I tell you though, nothing better than a good banana cream pie!
Ah, Tex, that was a great article. And so important too. People just have to understand, dress for your body type. Dressing perhaps more conservatively, but appropriate for your body type looks infinitely better than skanking it up in close that don't fit right.
The rest of the debate aside (which is also interesting), the original article was quite enlightening KarmaGirl. Thanks for writing this. I still like the notion of a hybird car (though certainly am not going to be in the market for a new car for a long time), but it is interesting to see some real numbers.
Yeah, the punctuation isn't a big deal, it was just a thought. I sometimes discard punctuation in my poetry, and use the way I arrange my lines and such to convey the same message. Perhaps it is part of me being a visual person, not sure.
You don't really need to unzip widgets anywhere. Once you download and opent the zip file, just run that widget really quick. The close it if you want, but once it is run it is automatically placed in your \Program Files\Stardock\Object Desktop\Desktop X\Widgets folder. Super simple.
Also, is there any way to allow both the system tray and the taskbar to be shown in a normal dock? Nope, not yet. Lots of us are hoping that becomes a possibility. As to the other problem, are there no icons that show up in it at all? I have had problems in which not all of the icons show up, but are you not getting any at all? <
1) Nope, never been arrested (big surprise there for those who "know" me 2) Yep, on more than one occassion. It has been a long time, but I had a particularly obnoxious friend who really only seemed to understand that he had crossed lines when I gave him a good thumping or two. 3) I can't remember losing it in public. It only happens very rarely, and my wife may be the only one who sees it. 4) Nope, but the first morning
Great news Gideon. Thanks for letting us know.
I usually get stage fright at ball games, during half time, or at concerts during the intermission. You know, when there are lots of people waiting for you to get the deed done with and move. Bad news. Sorry to laugh at your own difficulties, but man, that was a good read.
Oh, and that kind of brings a whole new meaning to the term "scatting" eh? *BlueDev slaps his own knee in an hysterical daze*
Scat, scat, scat, scat, scat (sung to the tune of the Spam song by Monty Python). Oh man, Dharma, you gotta get those suckahz! Hopefully the dog will do the trick. If not, a wrist rocket will. You can hit them hard enough to make them think about it, but not kill them. Thanks for the news on scat though. That made my night.
I like the visual effect of the lines. But don't be afraid to abandon punctuation afterall it is overrated anyway don't you think I sure do I don't like it one little bit in fact I think I may abandon punctuation all together
Ah, yes: tangents. My favorite. Mmm. I prefer tangerines myself. Tangelos are pretty good too, as long as they are ripe. I'm so glad I went to college so that now I ca
You could always have a "grease fire" and need to smother it with something, like, oh, say a shirt.
*comes out of closet, vein bulging with apopletic rage, face red and sweating* Ahh, that made me laugh out loud. Thanks, that was great. The backstabbing really gets to me as well. Sadly though, we see that kind of behavior even being written into many television shows lately. Is it art (and
I don't really think it is Ravenblack. I actually think that those who are the most violently opposed to reality TV are closet watchers themselves. I think it is almost humorous to see them go into apopleptic fits about how much they hate reality TV, how evil it is, etc.
