Some mornings, every single patient I see gets an artificial smile. BTW, the title of your article got the song stuck in my head now. That song freaking rules.

First off, props to Andrew for Rumshot. It is a killer little app. I love it, and it makes these screenshot threads much more fun and easier to view (no big images breaking the page). I love Paul Davey's (mattahan) work, and his newest icon release, Buuf, is no different. Gyre, by Essorant, goes perfectly with the icons. I really like this current set up, with CD Art Display on my desktop all the time now. <a href="http://www.pixplanet.net/file.php?userid=20&file=De

Only random spam-bot responses, and once where I specifically requested a certain topic not be discussed further, with warning I would delete responses along those lines. Then someone just had to see if I really would.

That was a great blog Nicky. I really enjoyed it. Sometimes these random bit blogs are my favorite.

Well, it is written. I don't know if it will ever actually be posted, but Capt. Underpants has read it, and knows why I am a bit hesitant to post. Actually writing it down was certainly therapeutic.

Thanks again for the kind comments. Doctoring is an interesting thing. Your entire life is focused on the well-being of others. As I discovered with this incident, if you take it too much into yourself, you really could burn out at a very early age. Seriously, after Sunday morning's experience, I was ready to call it quits, if even for a little bit. So we have to learn to distance ourselves some. That is where it becomes tricky. You distance yours

Trudy, I have to be honest. I don't appreciate you using my blog to snipe at others. If you have a bone to pick with someone, do it on your own blog or on that persons. My blog is for me to pick on others.

I really do appreciate the comments. This was one of those things that I needed to get out, needed to get down and written. I would like to respond to some of the comments a little more personally, so I will in a bit. Thanks again.

Every once in a while, a moment becomes indelibly etched into our psyches. No matter what happens for the rest of our lives, these moments will forever be crisp and clear, in some cases disturbingly so. The call came early. 4 am to be precise. Low blood pressure. Nothing new, nothing too concerning for the most part. There are lots of reasons a person's blood pressure can drop, some serious, some not too serious. He was a dialysis patient. Kid

You can always repartition your hdd and run a dual boot setup. The last time I tried that I screwed up the Windows Boot Manager, couldn't boot into Windows. I know (now) there are ways to fix that, but I have to admit, I am a bit skittish to try again.

I tell you, I wish I had a computer that I could just turn into a dedicated Linux box. My old desktop sort of was, but it was old enough that it still ran slow. I would love to play around with Linux more.

I've seen you speak your mind plenty of times (and been on the receiving end of it as well), and you get your point across, you just aren't hateful about it. Thanks Tex. I wish I felt the same. I don't know, I just can't help but feel that some of the things that have been brewing inside lately haven't come out because I am too con

I wish I had a backbone. If I did, I might actually let a few of the regulars here know what I really think and feel about them. If I did, I wouldn't try so damn hard to be diplomatic in the way I present things. In the end, I fear I just come off wishy-washy and weak. I'm sick of it. But I still don't know if I have the spine to just let it out, be honest, and name names. I really, really want to, but am too weak. Perhaps I can find a spare spi
