Thanks for the comments. It is getting better, and at a pretty rapid rate to be honest. That first night of surviving call makes a world of difference.

I survived. In fact, it wasn't that bad. Of course, I am lucky enough to start on a pretty light service. Oh, and I haven't had call yet. You know, that time when you are the first line call for a full half of the surgical patients in the hospital. That's Thursday. Nope, not too bad at all. I ran around the floors, a truly confused animal. Part chicken-with-its-head-cut-off and part deer-in-the-headlights, I was both aimless and frozen with

Warning: This will be scattered. Bear with me, or feel free to stop reading. -The move to New Hampshire really went better than we could have even hoped for. The help from my family was invaluable. When I think about how hard it would have been had they not sacrificed their vacation to help us, I can't even begin to think about how overwhelming it would have been. I have a pretty amazing family. -Board scores are back, everything is in order, I start as

The time has come. There is no other option. It was inevitable. Time to move on. That's right. Monday, June 12th, we leave our snug little home in North Carolina (which we really have come to love) and head up north to our (even more snug and little) home in New Hampshire. Preparations for the move, along with just the head games of getting everything in order, have pretty much sapped me of my will and desire to blog. It will return, of that I h

I agree that most of the widgets I have could be done with other apps. I suppose that is the strength and weakness of widgets. They can do the job of other programs. Perhaps the problem is I am wishing for widgets that did too much. boss0190: Yeah, I realize it is about looking nice. That might also be my probl

I keep My Object desktop subscription becuause I am hooked on IconX, WindowBlinds and IconPackager, they are essential for me, DesktopX isn't..... I hear you. I love IconPackager, WindowBlinds, WindowFX (mostly for shadows) and KeyBoard Launchpad. I want to love IconX, but it doesn't play nice with some aspects of WindowFX shadows.

my opinion didnt change after reading this so i guess i wasted 10 minutes of my life. Whew. Good thing I wasn't trying to change anyone's mind then, eh? Just entertain. lolapoa: It is really sad that you are such a zealot that you can't have a little fun at the expense of something as si

I have tried and tried to get into the widget craze. I really have. I try just about every widget that gets released (with the exception of all the weather ones that are made to match a certain skin). In addition to all the DesktopX widgets I have tried, I have given just about every other widget program out there a fair test drive. I have used Konfabulator (now Yahoo! Widgets), Kapsules, dot Widget, EZPod, AveDesk, Samurize, and maybe even a couple others I can't re

I'd much rather have all the programs I'd use regularly already installed and, most importantly, designed to work together smoothly, than have an empty OS that I have to spend hundreds of dollars on filling up with programs that'll probably try to kill each other. I agree. I would rather Windows com

Best of luck Jill! Keep 'em up whenever possible (though I know how hard that is when you have multiple little ones running around!). Support hose are really great. Do you have anyone that works in a hospital and could get you a full leg pair of Ted Hose? They are a lot better than the ones you get in the pharmacy section.

For me it is hangnails. I get those all the time, and then I pick at it and pull. Leaves a little, tender nubin of skin that snags every time I put my hands in my pockets.
