There is a difference between a tax hike and getting rid of a credit that probably shouldn't have happened anyway when this country is so far in debt. JMHO.

I definately don't think its okay to look at a 11 year old girl sexually. I do think that girls develop a lot younger now than they did when I was in school. I mean I didn't need to wear a bra until after graduation, I suppose. I wore one for no reason so I wouldn't be a dork in a flowered undershirt in gym class but there definately wasn't anything in there. I took my niece, 8th grade, to school and could not believe how grown up these girls look.

I remember being in choir when they announced that I was on honor roll and one of my friends was completely shocked - "I didn't know you were smart!!!!" I guess I didn't act as smart as I was - lol!

This post cracked me up. I was going to tell you that everything is bigger in Texas but I don't think we can even compete. I don't know if Australia has a site like this but there is a site in the US and its called roadside america and it lists all these types of "attractions". I think you should go and have your picture made by every big thing in Australia. I think its kind of fun and funny but would I leave the coast of Australia to go in search

I think voting on one issue is wrong. I think you have to look at the whole picture. But I guess there are those who think someone's stance on one issue is a deal breaker and would lose their vote. I would say my biggest gripe is with uneducated voters who really do not make any effort to understand each politicians stance and make an educated vote. What irritates me is that someone who doesn't have a clue can cancel out my vote but that's how our

I have always done homemade parties. I think they are more fun just like homemade birthday cakes and homemade Halloween costumes. My son's last birthday we went to Medievel Times instead of having a party. I was very expensive. It ended up being more than I had planned but it was fun and a memorable experience. We will usually let them pick where they want to go and let them bring a friend so it may be Chuck E Cheese but its not Chuck E Cheese fo

Hi Emma, Marriage has lots of ups and downs and rough spots. Hopefully, you can bear with the bad to get to the good. It is very hard if he won't talk with you though. Just take care of yourself. I know I have often had the feeling that marriage is supposed to be more than what we have. As dr. phil would say we all need a soft place to fall and that should be each other. Maybe you can find a sitter and have an evening out by yourselves. Having

One of the offices I worked in painted an accent wall a dark grey and they had a blue/tealish couch in front of it - it looked sharp. I am definately with you that anything is better than white. I spent too many years in rental apartments with white walls and beige carpet. Now that I finally have a house I have "potters clay" - a nice light apricot/peachy type color - in my front living room/dining room and "harvester" - kind of a straw/brown y

Imagine that you are planning a trip to Italy. You read all the latest travel books, you consult with friends about what to pack, and you develop an elaborate itinerary for your glorious trip. The day arrives. You board the plane and settle in with your in-flight magazine, dreaming of trattorias, gondola rides and gelato. However when the plane lands you discover, much to your surprise, you are not in Italy --- you are in Holland. You are gre

My son has 18q- syndrome mosaic. He is missing a little piece of his 18th chromosome but it is not in every cell that is why it is mosaic. It was very hard to hear when he was diagnosed at two. Especially because this is so rare and we really did not know what we were dealing with. He is ten now and is a great kid. He has needed some extra help at school (occupational therapy etc.) other than that he does great. He was slightly delayed developmen

I think an entrepreneur is someone who starts a business not someone who inherits it but nobody at the Michigan Entrepreneur of the Year Award committee asked me. I do think their should be some solid criteria to determine the top entrepreneurs. Anyway you can be Entrepreneur of the Year on Joe User. BTW, I thought you lived in Texas?

We took the boys for their last day of school treat. We all liked it. I never saw the first Shrek but thought this one was a lot of fun. My favorite was Puss in Boots. Though I do have to say that going to the show is getting out of hand. I think we spend $40 to get all of us in and buy popcorn and coke. Hopefully the drive-in will have some shows we want to watch coming on soon.

From Star Telegram, A different reaction to Abu Ghraib by Walid Phares "From Iraq, other voices blasted the media: "What was happening in the same cells of Abu Ghraib under the Baath defies human logic. The awful photos of today would be only appetizers," said Saddam's survivors. "We have pictures, we have documents, but that won't please your elites." These survivors invited the world to visit the mass graves, to see piles of corpses, but to no av

I wouldn't let any future sitters have friends over either. My husband's cousin babysat and had a girlfriend over with her and they just sat on the computer the whole night IM'ing and completely ignored my boys. I found a great babysitter, Steven. He is wonderful with the boys and responsible. The only bad thing is that his parents are divorced so I have to try to catch him on the weekends he is with his dad. I hope you can find somebody reliable

I have to say that I think this is an everyperson fantasy. What if I could go back? What would I do different? What would my life be like now if I had made different choices? But you are right we can't go back and if we could we would lose what we have now. I wish I could go back and go to college right after high school. I wanted to go but my parents weren't supportive and I didn't have enough determination to see it through myself. But if I ha

I understand the point of these things academically but I really think this has to hurt voter turnout and apathy. I mean why vote if the election is already decided. Our last election tells us that every vote counts. I am in a state that is going to be republican so should I even bother to cast my vote for the other party. I'm having a hard time getting behind Kerry but I am not a Bush fan. This is just like all the guys talking over the game befo

She may have been following orders from someone in her chain of command but what she did was still wrong IMHO. I think she should go to the brig. That being said she is a PFC and definately was not in the lead of this situation. Those who participated should answer for their actions but the higher ranks who ordered it, ignored it, photographed it or didn't know what was going on in their command need to be responsible for this situation too. </fon

I think the video of Nick Berg is just too graphic to show on TV. I do believe you can find it on the internet but I personally don't want to see it. That poor man and his poor family.
