Wombat and Ginata for veteran? Well the more we have the better.

Plus people don't like living on uninhabitable planets. This is beacause there isn't enough food or water for a large population and nobody ever gets a breath of fresh air since they have to live in airtight domes.
You don't actually have to conquer them. With a minimin of effort these races can be befriended and turned into allies and then the other alien are far less likely to attack them. Currently the arvintians are happy in my goody guy alliance with the Altarians and Fundies and are beginning to establish trading links and have built a defender and a corvette. Forming alliances with these races isn't just alturism it makes sense. By allying with them you monopalise their trade routes (the
Eventually as the decades roll by new minor races start appearing. In my current game a race called the Arvintians has appeared in the Vesta system. Now Vesta I the Arvintian homeworld is only class 16 and is only bringing in 2 bc in money. The Drengin promtly declared war on them. There is a shred of hope for them I suppose beacause the Altarians recently declared war on them beacause they were at war with their ally (and my ally) the fundermentalists and agreed to help all three races in t
Eventually as the decades roll by new minor races start appearing. In my current game a race called the Arvintians has appeared in the Vesta system. Now the Vesta system as it stands is class 16 which is understandable as it has only recently become habitable. But the Arvintian government is only earning 2bc from it's homeworld.
When I play the game none of the minor races that appear during have symbols other than a sort of broken circle on a gray background. I'm not sure that this wasn't intended but it is really stupid that they don't. I mean how hard can making 2d nonanimated images for all the minors be.
In the galactic civs manual it says that if people are happy then they aren't going to defect. But planets seem to defect whether the population is happy or not and the skull and crossbones never goes away whatever you seem to do. I think that only planets that would normally be in unrest should threaten to defect to other civilizations. This is beacause I feel that causing people to defect purely beacause they're surrounded by alien shopping centers is unrealistic and just plain silly. If yo
Trade heavily with those civs of your morality and minor civilisations. In this way you can get lots of money, good relations with reliable allies and ensure that you monopolise trade around you gaining even more money and keeping those civs from getting too friendly with others. Shortly after impulse drive is invented the great goodvs evil battle. Do anything in your power to ensure that your ideology crushes the rival ideology before they unite in an alliance against you. Break the power o
Yes you can
Minor races are more than a match for any major race stupid enough to provoke what are usually peaceful races, more interested in surviving and getting rich than ruling the entire universe. They are useful trading partners as mostly they are extremly rich and unlikely to attack or threaten you for no apparant reason. If you make friends with a minor then you have a lucrative trading partner while at the same time keeping their militery strong through trade so that they can chew their way throu
I don't think of minor races as "prey" either Bert. I find them a useful way to moderate the power of agressive alien races such as the Drengin, Yor and to some extent arceans. Minor races usually develop powerful fleets and as far as I'm concerned this a briliant thing as it stops rival alien races from siezing their lucrative worlds and stacks of wonders which they so kindly keep from the hand s of my rivals.
I agree with you totally oh great furry leader of all our archrivals, including the offended Alexians of course.
Rule Britannia Britannia rules nowhere. But we'll never, never, never, never, never join Wombat and be slaves! (Britannia can be suplemented by Arcea, Toria or even Carinoidia) My mum tells me I'm going completely insane.
Thank's Theoden. Now I have to go and crush all the alexians who wish to be included in this post. Only joking!!!
I agree totally with you furry leader of our arch-rivals.
I am ashamed to admit I agree with you totally Wild Wombat.
Does something good ever come from "runaway planetoid" anomalies or are they just designed just to kill off alien survay ships and allow us to claim all the other anomalies in the universe
One day I spent several hundred bc on destabilising the Yor Collective and their morale didn't seem to be affected. How come?
LOL There's no better way to get Wild Wombat out of the woodwork so we can squash him, and while we're at it an aweful lot of carinoids.
;) There's no better way to get Wild Wombat out of the woodwork so that we can squash him.
???
Minor races in Galciv are minor in all but name and I like it that way it makes the game more interesting. Minor races often have lucrative planets, have little problem keeping up with tech, frequently have large fleets and can often call on friends in wars due to their lucrative trading routes. Beacause minor races can't build defensive starbases against the culture of other races their world can easily be made to defect with few problems. And the race that a minor world defects to gains an
The true power behind the elitist "special forces" is not it's leader Wombat but Ginata el Bohemio. In short the only reason that the special forces are on our tail is beacause of her. In short Ginata is a real threat to our place as most powerful empire. Something will need to be done.
Always keep your budget in the positive and try to allway s keep a positive income. Researching trade early and finding trading partners is key to a happy population. Trade allows you to cut taxes and still be able to keep a positive account. It also allows you to spend more money without raising taxes also. If a planet starts getting unhappy pump money into propoganda on a planet until you are able to build a morale boosting improvement or better a habitat improvement. Over time the amoun
