So how can one love another without knowing them completely? The whole concept of love is debatable because it is different between men and women and each person may have a completely different view on it. I say if we all just slowed down a little there would be a lot less heartbreak in this world...

Sorry to rain on your parade, CS, but if your feelings were "set in stone the moment I saw her," then that's not love, but infatuation. You didn't even know her, and yet you were "in love"....and you've been able to continue to believe in that "love" because you never had to deal with the realities of a dating relationship with her. Okay, so maybe I'm sounding cynical this weekend.....but I THOUGHT I knew what love was plenty of times, and

"It is more blessed to give than to receive." (Acts 20:35) Receiving is passive and an end in itself, but giving is active. It produces, generates and creates. Those who give to others set into motion a cycle of blessing that often includes feelings of joy, happiness, satisfaction, fulfillment, and a deep, abiding sense of purpose. Nothing else in life pro

I would appreciate some feedback on this. I am not sure what I should do. I would call CPS this time, and every other time you see/hear something that isn't right. That little girl needs someone to look out for her....let it be you. </fo

That was a neat quiz..... You got 19 out of 30! Openhearted Hunk. You're with the prince of intimacy! He's not afraid of laying himself down like a bear-skin rug for you. I had a feeling that was where my hubby would score....glad the test agreed with me!

The doctor said she will most likely be in the hospital for another week at the least. Shawn said he couldn't remember what all the doctor said. I don't think I like having Shawn there all by himself being the adult. He doesn't seem to pay attention much, so he misses half the conversation. Men! They

Lets just say that it hurts. I don't really know how to explain, but I think you all know how I much I like Brandon, as Dharma mentioned You don't have to explain it, I think most, if not all, of us have been there at one point or another. Just know that it will start to feel better. You're a strong g

EMMA! Why didn't you call me??? I know there's nothing I can do, but I would have gladly stayed at the hospital with her so you could sleep! If you need ANYTHING remember, you can call me. Alysia is like a little sister to me now, I'll do anything to help her, or you or Shawn. Just let me know. That's s

I feel like I've done something wrong. Like I was a bad mother for letting my baby get sick. Sweetie, it happens....babies get sick, and there's usually nothing we could have done to prevent it. When my first was five months old, he was in the hospital for a week, throwing up, running a fever, and ju

Many of us become stressed out over things that really won't matter when all is said and done. Step back long enough to evaluate your life priorities. Will the issues that eat at your thoughts today still matter a year--or five years--from now? When we reach the end of life's jouney, few of us will complain that we didn't accumulate more possessions. Negle

I don't think his initial question was out of line though. It can be fun to find other members of the Church in that sort of arena and I think it probably started out as a simple "Hey, we might have something in common" question. That's sort of what I was thinking....you just expressed it better than I

Maybe. but there is a time and place for certain things. If this person had come to me as a missionary to my home, I would not have reacted the same way. Trying to recruit me in the middle of a video game was assinine. He didn't know who I was, or how old I was. The idea of cultists possibly recruiting children online is repugnan

Well, I haven't had the C2, because I don't drink Coke or its varieties....and I have a coupon coming to me for a free 2 liter of Edge, so I'll try that when I get the coupon. As for the other varieties, I tend to drink Twist, Vanilla and Wild Cherry.....almost never drink straight Pepsi any more. And that Pepsi Clear stuff was like drinking turpentine.....ICK....and ye

I went to the site and read....found a second article where the writer describes some negative reactions to the photo...people actually contacted snopes.com trying to prove the photo was a hoax. Sad commentary on our world that a simple, touching photo like that can create such cynical responses.

No marriage can survive without some give and take from both parties. The literal meaning of the word compromise is "together to promise." You promise and give in just a bit. Don't always insist on having your every wish or demand fulfilled. If you give in occasionally, you will short circuit a possible power struggle. You may find that you get your way mo

I think we need censors. 9 months ago I made a decision that my child would only watch taped television shows with no ads and only shows like hi-5 and playschool because I found some of the things in primetime slots viewed by children was just inappropriate - and I can't think of an example atm. See, th

1/ prostitution ? Disapprove. Sex shouldn't be about money....and it should mean more than just the physical act. It's about love, commitment, intimacy....and I can't believe you get any of that with a prostitute. 2/ drugs ? Disapprove. Too many potential dangers, not only to the person taking them, but to people around that person..such as the 4 month old in my area who died yesterday because Mom

My fourteen year old donated her hair this spring. Our salon doesn't participate in the program, but she wanted to do it, so the stylist cut the hair in a ponytail and bagged it for her, then we got mailing instructions from the website and sent it out. I was so proud of her for coming up with the idea on her own.

Being the litigious society we are, a civil suit should be brought up on the mother for child endangerment, accesory to murder. How do you propose to sue a dead woman for ANYTHING? I'd say she and her children have already paid the ultimate price....and she had to live for several hours with the knowle
