Well, if you're hard-coding environment variables, it is a pain. If you have some kind of site config file with a variable like $hostname, localhost is normally fine in my experience. It is, of course, always a pain when a new version stops you using the workflow you're used to though ;)

What's wrong with using http://localhost/yourtestsite/? I just run Apache as a service on my dev box - no problem debugging in Opera 9.50 using this method.
Forgot to mention in my original post that I have tried disabling all third party addons loaded in IE7 when WindowBlinds is also loaded to see if this results in the tabbar appearing - no such luck I'm afraid!
Hi, I am experiencing exactly the same problems as jspr - IE7 tabbed browsing and command bar being disabled when using *any* WB skin, but working when WB is unloaded (ie using Windows Classic theme) or when IE7 is completely excluded from WB skinning.
