also no option to select Australia/New Zealand. knowing that there are a number from both countries this is rather poor on Stardocks behalf. Closest thing to select is Asia (Other), which does not make a good representation. and yet have several choices for the USA.

My laptop updates fine (Vista 32bit) so I'm thinking it must be an issue using Vista 64bit, I've rolled it back to 2.46.477 and will leave it at that and see if the next update solves the issue I'm having. Would be interested to hear if anyone on Vista/XP 64bit is having the same issue tho.

Cadvridoc76 open SDC & go to Tools...Settings..Internet & change the server, close SDC, re-open & see if you can update then I just updated using US-1 with no problems. It's My Secret Thanks MySecret, I tried that earlier and still have the same issues unfortunately. But tried it again

SDC Server Issues? in Stardock Support General WinCustomize Forums

SDC just auto-updated to 2.47.479 build 158. And now gives 'Connection Error 1001'. Before anyone asks, there are no firewalls blocking the program, especially as it was able to connect to update the program in the first place. I have uninstalled it, and redownloaded and installed it again. With the same issues. Also done a 'roll back' via uninstaller to 2.46.477 build 158, with the same issues, and now won't even update to latest build. But seems to be able to query the server enough to tell me

WB6.0 beta for 64bit? in Vista Support WinCustomize Forums

With a little over 4 weeks to go till WB6 is released, will 64bit XP/Vista be able to test the beta before going final? While I didn't necessarily expect the beta to support 64bit too quickly after the initial beta release. I would've thought that we would be able to use it by now? I understand that 5.51 supports 64bit, albiet with a few issues. Which I guess is the reason I'm getting a little frustrated with length of time its taking. I also do understand that it is more difficult coding for 64

With an apparent 'Release date' for the final version of WB6 in the link. When can we expect the beta to support 64bit OS's? (If it doesn't already, tho I haven't seen it updated anywhere) I know a lot of people are harping on about the lack of 64bit compatibility with Stardock products. SDC Crashing windows in Object Desktop WinCustomize Forums

Hi, I have recently upgraded my pc to an Athlon64 system and still run WinXP. Installing SDC has consistantly crashed the system to the point where i have to reinstall WinXP completely again. it appears to be corrupting the registry or something like that, as it won't even boot into windows most of the time, after rebooting. but if i'm lucky i have got back in and been able to uninstall SDC and use system again. but that is not common at all

Multi-Monitor Support? in DesktopX WinCustomize Forums

Hi, I've done a quick search and can't see that this has been asked at all. But does DesktopX have multi-monitor support? I've used DesktopX for a couple of years now and have no end of trouble with it using two monitors, subsequently i've stopped using it. The biggest problem is that while there doesn't seem to be a problem getting things on both screens they seem to move off the screen, and if you play a game that uses a different resolution on the m
