As an example... There is a link in this thread: https://forums.wincustomize.com/?forumid=195&aid=128384 The link is this: http://islanddog.wincustomize.com/ViewSkin.aspx?SkinID=889&LibID=34&comments=1 When I click on it I get this: The event log file is full. In the address bar for that link is this (hold on to your hats): http://islanddog.wincustomize.com/ViewSkin.aspx?SkinID=889&LibID=34&comments=1&d=Gy7iqM/p+2oUfuL/99YXsuDlQa83AFvJQo8RDqAcOUWwBkgO

well, no actually Bichur is a Troll and Lantec is just somebody trying to help
just bum the 20 bucks off your parents as a parent.... mow the yards clean out the garage/workshop/garden shed do the laundry clean the bathroom vacuum the floors getting any ideas yet??
Well, aimzzz, seems your advise was well timed. I booted up this morning and that file, desktopmenu.obbar, was gone. Nowhere to be found. Very odd indeed. I closed RC, double clicked on my backup desktopmenu.obbar and was back in business. Stardock, could you figure out why that file just disappeared? I'll send you any info you need.
wow, that was really cool to watch!! Thanks
I, too, like the ribbon. That was the first thing I noticed when I fired it up. It is a good design imo. Agree with Meowy about the option.
yes indeed. Thanks for letting us know about this. Now...bring on the glass dolphins jumping through water balls over the glass tables LOL
ahhh, thanks so much for posting this problem and the remedy. This has been driving me nuts
oh duh, sorry aimzzz, the uninstall/reinstall through SDC worked correctly. Menu is now showing stacked correctly. Thank you.
I saw that link tjesterb. It is why I posted this question here. So someone would explain it in a way I could understand So if the mobo runs at 1Gb with hyper transport is that cpu wasted on that board?
I found a motherboard which has this spec: FSB 1000MHz Hyper Transport (2000 MT/s) A CPU with these specs: Hyper-Transport Support: Yes L1 Cache: 64KB+64KB L2 Cache: 1MB Multi-Core: Single-Core Operating Frequency: 2.2GHz So the FSB runs at 1Ghz and the processor is capable of running at 2.2Ghz. But how does this hyper transport fit in to the picture? What is 2000 MT/s?
well, I found the file to edit to change all this mess. It is in the .../stardock/rightclick folder and is called desktopmenu.obbar. Just open it in notepad or whatever and you can change all kinds of things. This would be the file to copy somewhere as a backup as aimzzz said. Is there a file somewhere which explains what each and every entry in these files is?
aimzzz, not yet. I was thinking about doing that. Oh why not. Can't dance
thanks for the link for the Will Rose object. I had lost that and couldn't remember what it was called. Great little object.
hi again...reboot did nothing. Will wait for Support to show up.
aimzzz, can't resize anything, just moves it around the screen. boss0190 am going to try the reboot thing. Thanks folks.
hmm, that's what mine looks like as well. I guess I need to let Stardock Support know about this. They might check this out Monday anyway. Thanks so much Lantec. I appreciate your effort.
jeez... The only thing I can think of is this: hBitmap=Background.bmp Should that 'h' be 'v'? or just Bitmap=Background.bmp?
Nope, not using WFX. I'll give your other suggestion a try. The only problem is that I'm using the orange substyle of GUIskin. The skin converter, apparently, only converts the base skin. But maybe modifying the popup.obskin is the answer. Will be back.
Well, I don't have that option checked. The version I'm using, according to the help>about, is Ver 1.20 build 739 I just built a quick skin and it does it with that file also. oh, btw, why does the skin edit save the files on the desktop instead of into the right click/skins folder? weird
Howdy, My right click menu items are listed horizontally, side by side, instead of vertically, stacked on top of each other. Has never done that before. I just use the convert to current WB option, but all the preloaded skins are doing the same thing. I can't find which .obskin, .ini, .menuskin file will fix it. Any suggestions? werewolf

Also, Microsoft will give you free cd's if you have the part number, name, and serial number. Meowy, how do I do that? Is it on the MS website? I have the drivers disk from Dell, but it would be nice to be able to get rid of those partitions (btw, Dell has 2 partitions, one is the recovery partition and the other is a partition use
I just found out about Autopatcher. Good grief it was easy and let's you pick and choose from critical, recommended updates. Reg tweaks...all sorts of things. Very cool. Get the August Full WWW Link
yup, got that one for my daughters machine. Nice to see you can opt out of the wga . Since that update there has come news that one of the patches can break IE. That's pretty much the reason I don't use the auto update. The patch is kb918899. The only recourse at the moment is to call MS support for the fix. They plan to patch their patch someime 'soon'. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/sm
