My every time it snows, my husband and I always start joking about "It's a cold day on Lambeau Field." I love the whole idea of a snowy football field. But then I grew up watching the CFL.
momijiki
I love irony.
Health care as an industry can compete in a capitalistic society if we are willing to accept that a lot of people will die from simple things that they could have survived if they could have basic treatment while others live a long time simply because they can afford it. I suppose it's mandated because some people have no problem with the suffering of others while some people care. Now having said that, I think it gets hard to say wh
I don't do anything like this with computers on a regular basis, but it's a great idea. Thanks for taking time to do this. The times when I need help, I'm always wishing for something like this. It's really easy for newbies (like me) to get lost in their searches for stuff.
I just realized the typo in the title. How annoying. I fixed it but it still shows up as "Mistaked." I lerned English real good. Gah. Ever since I got a new computer, I've had the worst time with typos. The most irritating one is the different placement of the apostrophe key.
There is another woman who has the same name as me. She is an academic, who interesting enough, writes papers about being Japanese American or mixed marriages or something. In a weird way, there are some superficial parallels to our lives. Kind of strange for someone whom I have never met. Today, I think I got an email that was meant for her.
Your study program sounds way cool!
SC... the landlord was funny. Then I checked out "awkward moments episode1" thanks for the links. #4 would have made me cry Cry from laughing? I love the movie Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure Someday I will have another go at this flick. And if I do find it funny i will NEVER admit it! haha FS... Bodily functions. Sigh. Mortifying!
Sorry, I missed the blog about where you are going to study. And I'm just heading off to sleep. Sorry for the lack of effort. But you are going to study overseas? That is really exciting! Where are you going to go? About the visa stuff, I know you can't help but worry but that's how this stuff goes. The only country whose visa applications seem to run smoothly is Japan. I hear lots of horror stories and lots of stress stories. Hmmm...
There are certain things that I am embarrassed to find funny. Things that I generally don't tell people. I'm a semi-closet goofball. When people first meet me the assume that I'm quiet, easy going and laid back. Then they get to know me. Or rather, I get to know them well enough to find out if I can turn off the little editor. Here is the list of things
I'm glad you wrote this article. I had thought about writing something, but I couldn't organize my thoughts on this. I think your two points are spot on.
Last night there was an end of the year special on TV in Japan on TBS (Tokyo Broadcasting Service?). It was Bingo! You could play along by going to the internet on the phone (I think you had to use Softbank as a provider), go to the menu list, select TBS and register for the bingo. After you registered, you got a card and as the balls came out, you blackene
Yeah, it's not much fun to stay up alone, but worse when someone else is waiting for you so that they can get some sleep. I hate the guilt factor
I'm a night owl. I just noticed that it is 3:30 in the morning and I had intended to get to sleep before midnight since I have a lot to do tomorrow. Part of the night owl situation is due to holiday time-warp. Things just don't seem to keep on track during the holidays. Another part is that I just got a new Mac and I'm trying to figure things out, try some
Ha ha, I love that link. For a hundred million reasons! Hee heee
And of course, 'The Stand' by Stephen King I liked the concept of The Stand but when I finished reading it my first thought was, "Wow, that was long." Certain parts stuck with me but a lot of it I could have done with out. Not a King fan, I think. I like some of the short stories he has writte
shouting makes me want to shoot him in the face with a bazooka and I go out of my way NOT to purchase anything he hawks. What kind of products does he hawk so I can avoid them, too? Dang there are lots of commercials I don't know
Hint: If they'd stuck to the plot, Hmmm... so much for avoiding spoilers. Oh, well. I wondered about this part. There were certain parts of the movie where the new humans showed more than animal intelligence and the main character totally doesn't see it. At that point, I was thinking "Plot
Terf, I agree with all those economic reasons. And you make really good points. There is a train line being built from Shibuya to Shinjuku that is being completely built underground because there is no space at surface level. It just annoys me that surface level trains are being moved underground. I think it also changes the pricing of real-esate since the areas that are immediately around the station become even more desireable since one c
So you are well aware of the 'He went to Jared' commercials I take it? I don't get American TV so I don't know this commercial. There are a few other commercials I don't
What was really cool was walking up to the ticket window and saying "I am legend." NICE! You'
At least Smith had a dog to talk to
LOL. Yeah, I considered that. Still, I squirmed through Castaway and couldn't wait for it to end. I found that I Am Legend was good food for thought after.
It's nice to finally see a movie where the trailers are intruiging but don't end up being the best part of the film. I wasn't quite sure what to expect from the movie because the trailers I saw were a bit coy about the reason for this apocalyptic world presented in the movie. A little googling and checking out some movie reviews and the discovery that it was due to
I know that there is some adage that any commercial that sticks in your mind is a good commercial. Sticky is good. Or is it? Lately, some sticky commercials have stuck in my mind only to remind me that I'm not going to buy them. There is a product called Watering Gum in Japan. I suppose it is suppose to generate a lot of saliva. Being a native English
One of the big construction trends in Tokyo has been putting train lines underground. Given the space crunch here, I can see how it makes sense. I think most of the land will be given over to construction and not green space. While I can understand the economic impetus, I really think it heightens a feeling of detachment from one's community and decreases the aesthe
