Id be happy to see morale be a factor; but currently I think we have that on a strategic scale with Culture... a tactical scale would be awesome, but I think it is a bit too late for such a complicated feature. Medieval Total War 2 has a great morale system IMO
Gauntlet03
Very nice; though you might want to add a bit about modding for the AI Any ship style you design the AI will randomly attach parts to; sometimes this isn't an issue, but most of the time it will place components at the wrong scale, or in poor locations, make you ship designs often look like so much junk thrown together. The only way to avoid this is to design ships for the AI utilizing All the Technology and preferably with +25% miniaturization. These designs should try to fit
hey guys; sorry I the one who suggested Saturday at 3 couldn't make it lol Sigh, and whats worse I can't do today at 4 either... rabble. At least I can check internet now... nice to hear the half/argument half/replay stuff
Im not so certain the Dreadnought will become a heavy hitter... its description might be changed instead Ron though surely they will be balancing/fixing its abilities a bit more, as some of them just don't seem to cut mustard.
I like plentiful abilities I would have to agree that the benefits of leveling to things like damage and HP are a bit high...
If you do a Random Small it will make 1 star but generate a given number of planets per player- Or so I believe, anyone have a better idea? I just want to avoid the 3v2 3v2 issue we had. 2-3 planets per person isnt so bad if we play on fast if u ask me... Oh and Shadow Hal... I said Saturday
3pm eastern is a decent start time; a little more forgiving to those peeps across the pond... at any rate; yeah the 5v5 was Decided within 2 hours, mainly because of the map; Next time I want a random huge or something... I think that will play out better. If we get enough for 3v3 I call it a success Annatar11 Paradoxnt Gauntlet Maybe, ShadowHal Multianna ...Eets?? ...Ron?? ...Random whoever...lol
1. A simple concede game option is needed. 2. I agree that it probablly is far too late to add interesting defeat issues. 3. I'm not too concerned about a defeated/conceded player being interested in playing; I think it would just be really nice in FFA that if a player concedes to a particular player, they gain some benefit but for the most part his empire crumbles into 'militias' and his remaining ships go pirate... 4. Allot of smaller games have a good grasp on how
i like this but perhaps when you concede some territories go 'rogue'
a weak flak defense for Gauss as a high level tech upgrade is on my wish list too
Sounds like you want an easy fix for something that most people learn to deal with. Try a smaller cluster at front entry and spread out around important buildings. For example if all your buildings are in one cluster the pirates will go there, so surround it, best to be near the planet so the Siege frigate can be murdered there too. 3 up front and 3 back will destroy most of a pirate fleet, add in a repair bay or 2 or hangars and you will not need to worry about it at all.
they have stated they are only giving us 1 more race for Beta 4... so yeah beta testing starcraft with 2 races For the win. Im okay with it honestly.
we do have some Z axis control enough to get over any wall you put up. Im sorry but I think it would be pretty silly. It wouldn't work in real life, too well it wouldn't work in Sins too well either. The ~ key grants z axis command
A bubble around the phase entry point would work ...perhaps the Advent can ahve a time dialation generator lol
u know its funny I had this exact same debate but a little more serious like yesterday or day before..... arguments from authority on the internet where no one can actually Verify your experience are mostly lame... they can support an argument slightly but you are likely going to ruin it by doing so. People don't react well to it, and they shouldn't because you shouldn't trust experts just because they are 'experts' look at how strongly they are scrutinized in court cases. Arguing from
uggg my embarrassing mistakes made public...
i like how capital ships are enormously important, i just finished a game where me and my opponent both lost our capitals, and then he rebuilt his and I couldnt; cuz I destroyed my capital yard. (wont do it again) After that he had the superior capital ship, and I didn't even though I was the one who killed his first. It was a tough game and I won and we both made mistakes but we both made pretty amazing comebacks. It was harrowing, it was tense, and I loved it... if it were ea
PS- how does saturday evening sound as in- say 3pm Eastern>?
well the game crashed but it was clearly a win for the Multianna crew... I learned that even if your murdering someones capital planet, you dont try and mop up half assed with frigates. And to watch my siege frigates better. Not to mention I should have just left avatar alone and finished off the stupid AI At any rate, we should try for another big game, though limit it to 3v3 or
its like they planned it! maybe when it comes back up it will have a super cool option for 8 player games ? lol Fat Chance
its not...
I think most of us have been in 2v2 at largest so it will be exciting! I am notably assuming locked teams... otherwise
it could be misleading though, perhaps he is a god of gaming... its false intelligence I tells ya! less than 2 hours now...
I often don't need to have fortified choke points, because it means Ive been putting those credits into fleets. Im usually the one with the fleet inside the other guy's empire. That usually means I don't need as many defenses lol. All an enemy needs to get past that Very expensive phase inhibitor is some bombers... if he scouts at all it wont even slow him down because he will be prepared. Its not that it cant be used effectively its that its currently not cost effective during the earl
That would/will be awesome I would like the abillity to time arrivals of fleets from more than one system so they arrive at the destination simultaneously I would love the 'hold for jump' command I would also like a 'spread out' formation which would do its best to avoid ships being so close and bumping into each other, so that jumping formations would be faster. They can converge into a tight formation during the jump itself. Great Idea the hold for jump
