The explosions are well known... your camera issues might be the camera... but sounds like your unaware of their new 'smart' locking system. The feature can be shut off.
Gauntlet03
We all know there is a money issue slowing the game down. The early stage of simple construction could be quicked by more money. You could of course have larger starting capital, but this would require the player to earn said money. Its 'creeps' from warcraft III its the same thing. We fight militia to open up resources, gain experience, and if we add this, to gain some extra starting cash. But it disappears, its a leg up in the early game but it doesn't stick around to make things ridi
A capital kill game mode would be nice but it shouldn't be standard.
disagreed, I don't want people just racing for the super spots
Wow- SO I had this error afte B2's last update... After Playing Sins, any video I watch on any program medium will be completely discolored, screwed up contrast.... usually can't see anything but a few bits of red or blue. Restarting fixes this until the next time I play Sins. Newest Nvidia Drivers actually makes this vid issue permenant! I have a Nvidia Geforce 7950
If you don't reach minimum specs... well why would subject yourself to such a bad laggy MP experience?
Well- as to the starbase you mentioned, thats the same as my outpost idea. So we agree on it lol. The trade ships carry a certain ammount of money, that money would exist as a debris box that is left when it is destroyed, if any ship flies into it, you get the money.... this would allow two forces to race for them. Also it would be a great way to boost the early game economy... the economy is a known bottle neck, if you gained money by killing the militia forces this would all
were you playing online? In which case your internet speed is infintely more important than your processor.
I think the point of that is a nod to the idea that defenses in space are just not as effective as ships, or at least the devs dont want them to be. Also I have a sneaking suspicion that the TEC might be the 'weak' defense race... at any rate good counter's exist against bombers, just have enough fighters and flak. Frigates are the meat though there is not a direct counter other than matching frigates and support craft.
Terrain: 1. Moons: Colonizable and of varying types, you build a mine on it either crystal or metal, but you can also add a ‘module’ to it. A military module provides tactical slots equal to a default asteroid planet, while a civilian one is essentially a research station and a little more money. The Military base should also be a missile launcher… or perhaps give it the missile launcher ability of the Sova. Moons would create a small bubble of gravity that swells from the overall well;
they used to be a research available if you found the artifact... now instead you pay to explore and can find artifacts and have their powers be immediate.
I think it would be better if level 1 got you the lesser and told you if you had to continue to level 2. That way we wouldn't have to do level 2 on every planet just to be sure.
they did say we would temporarily lose these for B3 in the FAQ I usually go with an Akkan first... it clears the militia just fine by itself.
I realize that, I actually preffered it the old way... regardless the important fact is to have it show up on research and diplomacy screens
the text disappears too quickly in game, and honestly I wouldn't mind it just staying there so I can scroll through. Also text messages should insert no matter what screen you are on! I have to leave the diplomacy or research screen to catch what ppl say!
Have not had a battle in a Gas Giant yet... disappointed... nobody really thinks thats all that realistic for one. Wanted moons. Nice G-Well though, happy its there... At least put in non-colonizable moons!
Agree, the capital distance penalty is way too high, especially in big games, maybe a logistic structure that raise the allegiance grade will solve the problem without comprising balance. (The 1 point spam building?). How about a planet upgrade called 'Core World' in order to build it you must have max population upgrades... it grants a allegiance bonus, as well as a taxation bonus? I like that idea... also lets us use the cool term of 'Core Wo
Impressions: So I played my first game of B3 with Egable. We did a random galaxy (now we know better) on medium… locked teams, the 2 of us versus 4 comps. First the game seemed to balance resources so that we could claim as much territory as the other 4 players… I kind of liked this. The AI however suffered from never researching culture, ice-colonization, or long range jumps. We were all in one system, but then when I actually realized there were 4 other stars, I sent
Yeah when I am centered on a moving unit i will follow it but eventually it will shake me off and leave my view its very annoying to view ships in phase space and have them zoom away. I feel like a cat playing with a mouse.
ooooh different planes of Gwells... downloading new beta as we speak
mmmmm being a beta 2 player feels good right now. leaving work in 13 minutes... I leave for a better tommorrow! Good luck to everyone waiting, it will be interesting to have a larger community regarding Sins.
Could you try to pool your comments into one post or rather less posts? Please. I've been checking here every 10 minutes, litterally... are you going through the menu and posting every 2 minutes? Pretty Please?
Me too... me too but 1 hour and 9 minutes to go.
Thankfully non-gamers will not have pre-order beta access honored!
urge to leave work early... rising...
