The weather channel says it's about -29 winchill this morning, Gosh I hate the Cold! We live in a small town that has one school and one high school. My son is in Junior Kindergarten. If we lived 1 block further away from the school, my son would take a bus. So to take him to school, we have to walk about 5 blocks, and I have to take my 3 yr old daughter with us. I know it's not that far, but with the windchill and 2 young children, it makes for a long, cold walk.

I heard the footsteps again. You may think I'm crazy, but I really do hear them. It was at about 4AM and I thought kids were up. It may freak some people out, but I'm ok with it. More curious than anything. If there is a spirit here, I'd like to know who it is. There is a museum near by where you can go into archives to research your house, see when it was built exactly, maybe find out who owned it before us. So one of these days, hubby and I will go there to see what

Yes, I have an addiction and I can't seem to stop! I play bingo every day.........all day long. But it's not like I am spending hundreds of dollars a week going to bingo............ to sit there and lose. Actually I play bingo at BingoCanada.com and it's free, unless you want to become a member and I think it's 70.00 a year, or you can get a monthly or quarterly membership! I know people who spend that much in one day at bingo. But it's not like I am sitting at the compute

Well here I sit, not sure of what to write, wondering if there is something I could be doing. It's Sunday night, the kids are sleeping and my hubby is resting on the couch. Ben a long day, not sure if I'm tired, bored, or just don't know what to do with myself. Ever have a day like that? Anyway, I tucked my kids into bed about an hour ago, hugged them and kissed them good night and told them how much I love them. My 3 yr old daughter hugged me and said : "I'm so proud of you,

Hi, nice to meet you. Sorry to hear you have to sell your snakes, but glad you atleast get to keep your dogs! I've always wanted a pug, but couldn't afford one, so we settled with a spaniel/setter/lab mutt, but she's awfully cute! Happy blogging and take care...... Laurie

Thankyou Tangled Wishes....... for most it would be heart breaking to read it. For me it was heart breaking to live it, as well as write it. But also, it was so much more........ Matthew was obviously taken for something alot bigger than me being a mommy. He was a very special boy and always will be. He taught me a great deal about courage, love.............. life in general. I am grateful for the extra 4 years I got to spend with him

Wow GCJ..... thankyou so much. And you're right........ this story is so much more than just about his passing. My little angel taught me alot about life at his young age. It means alot to me to be able to share it with people and to get the commetns on it that I do. I am sorry for your loss, it must have been very difficult at such a young age, and I do hope that you have some good memories of your father. I do hope we can talk again. Take care..... Laurie

When God was creating mothers,He was into His sixth day of "overtime" when an angel appeared and said"You're doing a lot of fiddling around on this one.And God said,Have you read the specifications on this order She has to be completely washable but not plastic.Have 180 moveable parts....all replaceable.Run on black coffee and leftovers.Have a lap that disappears when she stands up. A kiss that can cure anything from a broken leg to a disappointed love affair<

To Hold You I sit in the darkness holding you in my arms, as I stroke your hair and wipe the tears from your eyes, and tell you that everything will be ok. I sit in the darnkess, feeling the softness of your skin, admiring the miracle that has been created, promising to care for you forever. I sit in the darkness singing your favorite song, listening to the tiny breaths you breathe, hoping that you know I love you. I

I thought of you as I closed my eyes, and prayed to God today. I asked what makes a Mother, and I know I heard him say... A Mother has a baby. This we know is true. But, God, can you be a Mother when your baby’s not with you? “Yes, you can”. He replied, with confidence in His voice. "I give women many babies. When they leave is not their choice. Some I send for a lifetime, others for a day. And some I send to fill your womb, but there's no need to stay.”<

Not sure if you believe in Ghosts, but anyway here goes........ My hubby and I just bought our house in October. It's over 120 years old. One night while hubby was out, I climbed into bed. My children were fast asleep. Before I drifted off to sleep, I heard footsteps coming up my stairs that lead to the bedrooms. I was sure my husband had gotten home and was coming up to bed. I laid there and listened. The footsteps were quite clear, but my husband did not appear. I got out
