Most all of our techs [IT PROS] are very well paid and are mostly fresh out of school too. Oh we hire from out of the US. But mostly for those jobs there in those countries. Each Corp. is different and has it's own ways of doing things. Even larger Corp. like Microsoft does it - but they do what they have to do to get what they feel they need to do whatever the job needs to be done. It is a catch 22 kind of deal. You see something you like - you get it no matter what it takes. All of our

If you can not update - you should email support at [email protected] they can help you AND [quote]I'm waiting for this answer with bated breath. I'm having the exact same problem. I went back to WB 5.51 Vista Edition. It works, but I'd like to use the WB 6 that I paid for.[/quote] Mouse Goddess - could you also post your system information here too?..please..

OK for now we turn it off... Then a heat wave hits California and they have blackouts becuase they can't keep the electro on no matter what they do. By that I'm saying ya we get 1 hr now - but when it all hits hard they will be cracking it up to stay cool. So what do you do then? Well maybe if we turn em off now it will work then..? I do not think so! There is another group of people here on this planet - which has another idea for that. They call it mortality rate of e

I'm getting activation error 6 over activations. Only when I install wb6 beta any other program is no problem or for that matter a wb 6.03 no probs. Do I need to be reset? Doing a image backup and getting ready for another install with better results for sp1 as to so driver errors I'm working out problems with for other reasons that sd programs. Would be nice to have my activations reset for the next install - but if not I'll just wait till it is to use sd programs on here again. Go

Turn the UAC user account control off in user accounts and restart the computer. See if it works then - if not reinstall while UAC is off. I figure you are running Vista Home Premium on that laptop. Is there any other users for that laptop? If not then turn off UAC and leave it off and if a warning icon appears - click it and tell it not to warn you again. If this fails to work - your Vista needs to be reinstalled. It is not the WB program being a trial. It is your system that has a problem

I've had the program for sometime now. It does not compare with my MS One Note in MS Office 2007. Which is what I use and another good program for my other stuff on the run in my portable flash drive. Which I'm able to import contacts from Outlook and other applications. Is Essential PIM Pro ! Iuse it and Open Office a lot and it saves me tons of time. But my One Note and Groove really does all the work. I can keep up with so much stuff better and faster it seems. The new Office is the best thin

Find the process as Big Dog Big Feet has said and then go to your msconfig and look at the startup for the program in the command area is where it will show the file it is starting to run that process. Uncheck it and restart your computer. SGT :HOT:

Here is a shot of a copy from one computer to another in my network. With another video I took which slowed it down a bit - but was fairly good as well. Video link [link="http://tech-stop.info/scrnshts/copy.avi"]WWW Link[/link] This is a avi file and will take a few mins to buffer in the Windows Media Player. 1 min playing time... This screenshot is of without the video capture and was considerably faster. Click image for a larger view... <a href

Well it is a no brainer here - backup of the ugly partition will not load. I have mine fixed with what I did already. Suspect it is a bad reg for something. I checked all the prefetch files in a reload of them to see if it was one of them. Nope not that either. So had to be something in the temp folder and reg. Thus I'm stumped without being able to reproduce the problem again. SGT :HOT:

No Po it was not the setpoint drivers or any SDC or Impulse program that was the cause. I'm backing up again what I have fixed and then reloading the bad partition at this very moment. I feel it is a reg that was set by a bad install or something. Will know here in a few hrs from. But as I see it - no problems with Impuls at all. I reinstalled all my sd programs again using Impulse and it worked fine. Except WB version was wrong and so was the IP it installed. SGT :HOT:

I'm stumped for now... But I made a backup of the ugly partition before I fixed it. So gona load it backup and run a different plan of action for the fix this time and see where it is. Looks to be something for sure in the regs. Will do a different type of edit this next time around tomorrow afternoon. Working in the morning and should get the partition loaded in the morning before I go. Till then - best fix is as I did already. Thus I've reinstalled all programs with Impulse

any prefetch that is needed will be replaced when you rerun the program and it will write a new file there again no problems there and that be all it is - a prefetch file left over from some installer... which one I'm not sure yet - trying to reproduce the problem again now SGT :HOT:

ok here is what I did I uninstalled all my sd programs via sdc after uninstalling impulse. Still no go.. So I check startups and find a logitech mouse setpoint driver. Deleted it and uninstalled the program. Deleted all prefetch files in windows prefetch folder. ran %temp% and deleted all temp files in the temp folder. Then restarted the computer ... after the restart ran a reg cleaner called Clean My PC registry cleaner. Ran msconfig and it's back and everything is normal. I suspect it

Some Windows Vista users may encounter an issue with a small set of hardware devices that may not function properly after updating a Windows Vista PC to Windows Vista SP1. This is an issue with the way the device drivers were re-installed during the Windows Vista SP1 update process, not with the drivers themselves—these drivers worked on Windows Vista RTM and they work on Windows Vista SP1. This problem is typically corrected by simply uninstalling and reinstalling the driver. We are working

The really proper way to posting a good image with a thumbnail is with of course html. I usually upload to my site and then load the image in my browser and copy the link into my already setup html body. Seen here in this zipped text file... [link="http://tech-stop.info/scrnshts/goodpostingscreenshothtml.zip"]WWW Link[/link] Which when added to this here reply I just switch to the advanced mode and post as this here <a href="http://tech-stop.info/scrnshts/tst1.png"

For a first run beta program [and early I might add]! This is best damn program I've ever seen produced by Stardock. When it is all finished and going good. It should make for the best new installer for Stardock programs ever made to date. I'm very impressed and this has been a very good startup for the Impulse program. Thanks again Brad and all those hard working people there at the development team. For such good work and as usual putting up with us members who want too much; I bet tha
