My collection is of tools. Tools for a very wide range of different stuff too. But mainly working on cars and computers. Now days that has come to where some of these are of the high tech type. Using computers to increase horse power and such. Seems the new chips they use can be picked and in most case just replaced to gain a few more horses under the hood. Then there are the computer tools which some are old and a lot of new ones. They are always coming out with something better to do things ea
Sounds good! 112 mb thats small compared to the 24gb size. Ready to give it a try here... SGT
Cool...! Happy to see you all settled in and moving up in the world!!! SGT
Thank you Brad this does help with things I have going. I'll be trying something very new here soon. Still working out a few bugs and finding the time to finish this project. SGT
I believe your security has been compromised badly. You need to run a good scan on that computer for spy ware and anti-virus. You for sure have something running in the background on that system~! I would suggest using NOD32 for virus scan and spy sweeper for spy ware. the new spy sweeper does come with anti-virus and a small firewall now. so I would download and run it. it can be downloaded here at this link [link="http://www.webroot.com/consumer/downloads/"]WWW Link[/link] <b
try this here and see what happens... 1. turn off the user account control - control panel\useraccounts\ - you will see it at the bottom uncheck it. then restart the computer. 2. uninstall both trial and/or wb program you have installed completely. 3. open program files/stardock/objectdesktop/ and delete the folder for windowblinds there. Do make a backup of your wb's to a folder in another place other than in the program files. 4. do this to get rid of temp files go start and ru
With all the new ways this works compared to the old version. It is the most user friendly Skin Studio ever made. Plus it has a lot of really nice stuff going for it. I'm very impressed! Thanks for all the hard work!!! SGT
ok we will try for .015 next heheheeee SGT
Good things will come to those that wait and will look to the future! Vista is one of the best operating systems on the market today. User friendly NO~! If you don't care for it - get rid of it and stay in the back with the rest of the crowd. Who has XP problems still too!!!! I'm staying up to date and everything works correctly here with no problems. If there is a problem I fix it. So I have no problems to speak about that has me bluffed yet. SGT <i
Uninstall and then delete the folder for window blinds from the program files. Then go to temp folder as this: Start, then run, type %temp% and say ok. Once there delete everything that will delete (ctrl + a) and delete. What does not delete forget it. Next go to C:/windows/prefetch and do the same delete all... Restart the computer and reinstall wb. That should do it to get the correct version setup clean with no more past records. Hopefully... You should backup any and all your present skins t
Ever heard of having inbox folders? I have 2 imap accounts and 6 pop accounts and use the inbox folders to read a subject line. Thus my inbox is sorted to the proper subjects and my junk mail is very well sorted for it takes a closer look at the full header in the subject line. It's really nice with Outlook 2007 and I hear now it is also available with the new windows live mail beta. One draw back to all of this is confusing the server settings for an imap account. Be careful what you use fo
Not to say I do not wish this to happen to you Kenwas... But I'm sure you remember "Xoxroth" from Bloody olé England. A very well known and I must say great 3D artist. His work can be viewed here [link="http://xoxroth.wincustomize.com/"]WWW Link[/link] Which got so good at doing these 3d works of art! He moved on to selling his work and stop posting here at Wincustomize. I do also remember when Xoxroth first started posting at this site. At first they where not accepted. Then after a
Great looking stuff for sure. But I wish there was something new from one of the older Master Skinners now and then. It is good to always see new people doing such good work. It is a good start for the month of November... SGT
I would not run Vista 64-bit yet. I know of far too many programs and drivers that don't support it yet. When it gets better supported, I would use it because it can address more memory.
I was going to add Vista Ultimate 64 to this one here soon. But changed my mind and will be building a new machine to go here with my others. That will make 4 computers here on this desktop then. Vista Ultimate 32 bit, 64 bit, XP Pro and Server 2003. Plu
That update was only to arrange the program file placement for what is come this week with other updates for the final release. Have patience everyone... they are working on it. As soon as it is done there will be two other updates to the program. I believe that is what I heard. One more release candidate and if works well? The release with other goodies I'm sure of... So hang in there~! SGT
I never noticed that? SGT
What is your Windows Experience Index base score? SGT
Is this the dream you are referring too? [link="https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.aspx?skinid=293&libid=50"]WWW Link[/link] If it is I already have this. Or is this to be a better version of the same such or type of dream. It is the one and only dream I like. So if yours is better count on me buying it! SGT
Do a regedit find for the file you have described here and delete all entries from the regs. and then restart the computer. That should fix it... SGT
Ok finished and good quick fix! But with mine I use my stardock programs as I said in a shared folder on c: drive. Thus instead of using the startup folder for the command I placed the command in the registry in two places for each user. With the command files in a folder on c:drive. Thus all you see when the system loads is system 32 command.exe with the command text it is executing till it is finished executing the command. I could of written more to the command to include a registry command t
OK Zubaz - I've just had some better luck with the way Vista writes to the regs with files placed other than in program files as with WB6 and others is all I'm saying - but hey thats good to heargona give things a go now that I'm home and see what happens here. Hey Thanks Zubaz! SGT
OK Zubaz try this here and see if it helps a bit... Uninstall your IP and reinstall it to this location: C:/stardock/objectdesktop/icon packager and after you install and move your icon packages to that location ; then share the folder with everyone in properties for security. Then give your startup cmd a refresh for the proper location and try it one more time. There may also be a cmd to do so with a delay cmd. this could make the difference. Will see more here when I get home. <br/
Great idea and hey Zubaz mail me your script for that so I can see what you have done with it. [if you get a good result?] {following this from work today!!heheheeee...} I may want to improve that with another form or so to make it part of IP maybe...?? Sounds like a good way to improve the programs memory too! Gona look at this better tonite. Thanks again Zubaz and esp. Bagginz ! SGT oh ya Zubaz... <b
Good temp fix - but if you reapply any package it returns to same problems. Also have problems with IP in Vista Ultimate with 4 user accts. If we have different icons for each user. The desktop icons are correct - but whoever applies their icons last is what is applied to all users for like inside folders and such... ie, folders or whatever may be not on the desktop and/or the start menu also. Will submit a bug report this evening when I get home from work. Oh this too - which I tried for a fix
