1. Do the programs that have scans need to be run this often? 2. The virus/spyware programs offer quick, full or custom scans. I've always done full scans. Should I run quick or customize the scans? 3. By running defrag once a week could I possibly be shortening the life of the HDD?
#1.Once a week and/or if you think there is a need. Meaning something seems wrong with the way things worked before and they changed by some other means than what you may have done you

For those not aware... There is a new Cursor program from Stardock in the works for the future. We all hope it is done soon. I'm sure of that with myself using Vista OS and a Wacom Tablet. With the current release of CursorXP The Tablet PC Input Panel has a bug in it for what is called Tap-Tip.exe. Which is the Tablet PC Input Panel. Which if I c
I'm new at all this, would it sound stupid if I ask What is a wall????
You build it a brick at a time - till there are no more bricks! Actually it's wallpaper... but it seems to do the same as the bricks do. Have a nice trip to Devart Raven. You will be back... We hope so anyway. SGT
Maybe you should buy the programs first and then get tech support to help you out a bit. Seems you are a visitor and you are not using the professional version software. With the professional version software ; your problem will be easily resolved! SGT
What kind of weird guests do you guys have that use your computers inappropriately?
Well there are the guys from work. Who did not finish working on their scripts for the day. They can really do some fancy things wrong too. I have them over once in a while to compare things. Then there is family members who come over and want to show you some strange email they received. So we take no chances and use the one system with all the best protection to stop any kind of bug
There is a computer in the livingroom for just that purpose. Which is hooked to a 32 inch LCD HD TV. It is XP Pro and has a guest account for people that come over and need to use it. The wireless network is completely secure and managed from spyware and/or virus. So is the guest account too. It is kind of like what I have for my kids also where every website they go to is logged to the network. Thus I have a record of everything that reaches the wan-net. So the answer here is yes we do

I bought Ultimate not for the Dreams - but as you said Business Edition is what I use at work and here at home I try to make my work fit with Vista Ultimate. Thus no big deal for the Dreams. They are nice... Will be very happy when this is released so it will save on what is being used by a dream while working with my system and such. The Dream Scapes 2 sounds pretty good to me! SGT
Got any frozen dreams yet? SGT
Fact of the matter is that IE7 for Vista is much more designed to handle things. Runs faster than on XP and has better security. Oh and Kona defender is part of the windows explorer in Vista! SGT
Now so far as skinning it... my quarrels with it have nothing to do with Vista itself but rather SKS6 (finding a specific 'item' in 6 seems to be more of a pain then in 5). Other then that its just more parts and pieces.
As for the skinning issues... they are none other than that of understanding the new OS. That and how to deal with it's ways of presenting itself. Sure it is different and has somethings that some people do not like. But as far as the new SKS6 is concerne
1. no it does not work for Vista - only XP 2. No it works for Vista only. Logon Studio for XP can be downloaded here [link="https://www.stardock.com/products/logonstudio/"]WWW Link[/link] 3. again no it will not do active directory either for Vista. SGT
I do believe the explorer back grounds only work for Vista as you have said here. XP does not have the same footprint for explorer as does Vista. SGT
