IconX still has spacing problems, when anything is saved to the desktop the icons are spaced way to far apart regardless of your settings. Hmmm...the latest update finally fixed this for me. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/icons/wc.gif" border=

I think we are on the road to narrowing it down - has the site not been running pretty flawlessly for around the past day? Yes, well done to all those involved! <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/icons/wc.gif" border=0 alt="Posted via WinCustomize

5) The specific cause of the problems is that *something* is locking the articles database across our servers. In turn, requests to it pile up and eventually the database starts to go down but not before everything slows to a crawl. Have you considered using well established and mature 3rd party foru

Great. I can see it now. Restart the player after every song download. Patches, viruses, and worms. Micro$oft should stay out and embrace the iPod, which is keeping people off the Mac with its support for Windows. They should concentrate on making Longhorn reliable and powerful and doing the same for the XBOX 360 instead of getti

You can create a great looking full length movie at about 1-1.5 GB for a regular desktop display, with the right codec (e.g., DivX, XviD, MPEG4). I would imagine you could get the file size WAY down from that for a handheld display, where you don't need near as much resolution. If they come with 40 GB, you should be able to fit a ton of movies on there. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/icons/wc

IconX was updated to 1.10 today. This version fixes the spacing problems I had with the last few versions. It also seems to be saving icon positions, at least in my one small test. However, one thing I thought was fixed in previous versions

Tarkus - it's not like the system goes "Oh, subscriber, don't crash". That's not what I meant. What I meant is that if the site is overwhelmed by the number of users, why not cut back on what the free users can do? And mind you, I'm not trying to be elitist. I have nothing against the

I give a damn. When Microsoft does this, they're ripped for talking about vaporware. I really don't see what the point is, if I'm not going to be able to use it. It would be like me saying I got Aero to work in msstyles, but only I can use it. Mind you, I'm hoping that's not the case. <img src="

Our problem is largely lack of $$$ to get the things/people we need. Less than 0.01% of people who visit this site bother to subscribe. So what happened to taking care of the subscribers first? I've been a subscriber since virtually the beginning, yet this site works horribly for me. How about cutt

Yeah, the Watchlist link isn't working either. I accidentally subscribed to the new thread talking about WindowBlinds adding Aero features. Just my luck that I'd accidentally subscribe to a hugely popular topic. And ironically, I got the same error when I subscribed, but it went through anyway. In any case, I just added a filter to my email pro

Is there any way to stop watching a topic, so that it quits sending notices to my email address? Every time I try clicking on the cancellation link included in the email, I get this: An Error Occurred There was a problem opening this page. Please refresh the page and try again. Whatever you were trying to do

I just came across a cool free program that shows green and red lights (read and write, respectively) for each drive on your system. It's not a widget, but it looks like one, and even has transparency. Link They have a newer version that's not free, and does a whole lot more, such as monitoring the health of your drive with SMART technology, etc. <a href="http://www.oo-software.com/
