Check the Advanced window in Display Properties > Appearance, and make sure it's not set to always use the Beacon taskbar.

XP SP1 includes Internet Explorer 6 Service Pack 1 (SP1), support for USB 2.0, a number of security and bug fixes, along with the new Set Program Access and Defaults UI component, which was required by Microsoft's DOJ settlement proposal. Set Program Access and Defaults lets users choose whether to
SP1 (at least the disc version) will include JVM, but that will be the last version of Windows to include it, because of legal problems with Sun.
BTW, regarding the tabs, I'm glad to see they're now integrated instead of being a separate install. However, they have a long way to go in that area. I had three or four Mozilla windows open, despite having tabs enabled. For example, clicking on the option to download more themes opened up a new Mozilla browser window. By contrast, I *never* get a second NetCaptor browser window, and that's just the way I want it. I don't want a half-assed tabbed interface, where sometimes new browser wind
Do you get tooltips on your shutdown menu? I generally hate WXP tooltips (aka popup balloons) and may have disabled the tooltips you're seeing.
I just installed it. They have a "net" version that is very small, and when you go to install, it only downloads what you want. The only two things I downloaded and installed were the browser (a must) and the password manager (or whatever it's called). I didn't install email and news nor bugzilla nor any of that other stuff. It's not that I don't have plenty of disc space; I just didn't have any need for that other stuff, and my experience with Netscape 4.x was that bug reporting can
That's not hiding the name, though. That's actually changing the name to a null value. If that doesn't matter to you, that's cool. But I'd rather hide the name without actually permanently getting rid of it. Having said that, I don't use that particular feature in WFX, because there is no tooltip to identify the icon. If you have several items on your desktop with the same icon, you have no easy way to identify them. (Nor could you using your method.) <A HREF="https://www.w
Yeah, where is the ignore user command?
Are you saying this is just a shortcut method of right-clicking on the envelope (in SB) and selecting Mark As Unread? When you allow for us to totally hide threads, then I'll be impressed.
I'd be interested, but I'm only good at *using* other people's work.
If you're using Windows XP, you can do with with the latest WindowFX (currently only available on Object Desktop).
Thanks, dendillon. Sounds interesting.
Has Dangeruss made some XP skins? I'm using treetog's Makinarama lately. Absolutely brilliant skin. Haven't seen a good OSX skin for XP, unfortunately.
I hate you. No offense.
That's cool that third party buttons will be displayed on titlebars. That will be a signficant improvement for many of us. Oh, and the speed will be great, too. What is Skincast?
It's not correct, but yes, that's what it says.
/me always wonders why some people wonder why others don't share their same tastes.
It's logical if you *want* to change your wallpaper manually and not very often. If you have a lot of wallpapers and like to change them frequently, it's not very practical. I have hundreds of wallpapers; I would hate to have to go to Display Properties every time I wanted to change to something else. </
Aye! Contrats, Brad!
Great pics. Thanks for the link!
You'll be very happy with Wallpaper Changer, particularly if you like ease of use. When I was looking for a good changer, I would have been willing to pay, but I couldn't even find a commercial program that could do what Wallpaper Changer does. The closest I found was some programs that allow you to load an entire directory, but they don't monitor any changes to that directory. Wallpaper Changer does, and does so recursively. <A HREF="https://www.wincustomize.com/index.asp?Cmd=full&Ne
