I don't watch Television per se. Can't stand all the commercials and network primetime is pretty much cop show, cop show, doctor show, unreality garbage. Shows I get into I watch online or Dl'd through services. Right now working my way through Scrubs season by season. That's how I watch most shows. Wait till it's been around a good long while then watch them all at once.
Every other year? lol It would be nice if I had the money to build a new rig "every other year". Try every 4-5 years if I'm lucky.
That sounds like me. I had a 128MB Geforce 6800OC I held onto till just over a year or so ago(along with an XP3000 CPU). I finally broke down and grabbed a Phenom and GTX260 when I started finding games I couldn't meet the minimum on. It will probable be another 3 or more years before planning to upgrade again. I mean why would I? I haven't
I consider myself kind of a collector of sorts so I never get rid of my old games. I used to frequent a few of the stores though back when they still had a good selection of PC games and watch them ripping off kids with their trade ins. a game they give 5 bucks for would be on the shelf the next day for 35 or more. It's totally ridiculous. I guess the people that don't mind goig through with it either really don't put much in the percieved value, or it was parent's money that bought them to b
A friend of mine has a proggy to lock his mouse in one monitor, just wish I could recall the name of it at the moment. He might see this and pipe in. If not I'll ask him later and try to get back if you hadn't found a good solution by then. I have been using two monitors for a couple of years and have found very little trouble with mouse straying even without any additional proggys. Most games in fullscreen on primary mon. will lock the mouse on their own, only problem spots being a f
They usually only bug me when someone seems to feel the need to go respond to every one in order so the entire recent posts list is nothing but them. Otherwise ignoring them is tolerable.
I've heard "It's the publisher's decision" repeatedly. GPG signed the contract either giving up their rights to diversify distribution or knowing going in what their publishers plans were. They are just as much to blame if people are unhappy with the choice. I could care less because I wouldn't be buying it either way, but that line really doesn't hold water.
You mean people use Facebook for something other than Mafia Wars or Farmville? [e digicons];P[/e] Good tip though [e digicons][/e]
Too much NASCAR Sim huh? Maybe you could mod all the tracks and only turn right. My wheel and pedals are in the closet for the time being...no DA, I won't sell em for 8 bucks.
LoL. I think I was playing Nascar SimRacing when it died, but i'm really more of a road course and rally guy. Ovals are to boring after a few laps :).I do still have wheel/pedals for my dreamcast, and mouse/keyboard for it. Take that crappy dreamcast controller. heh
Really? Four p
The second part? What like a sequal? Do you have to buy the game in two parts? Is it an expansion or some sort of DLC? I'm sure I can go to the site and check.. but I doubt I will..
No, it's actually going to be three parts. Greed wins again.
i shelled out $300 in about 1997 for the thrustmaster t2, and have never used the keyboard for racing games again
I had one of those I picked up for $8 at a yard sale sometime around 2001-2002. I think it was a parent that didn't know what they could of gotten out of it. The thing was great for several years until it stopped turning left. Wish I could find another deal like that again.
As I read more about this it seems what is speculated they are doing is to hold part/most of the game on their servers. I guess they figure it's uncrackable because vital parts of the game are never residing on your local PC. I'm not sure cause I am not a coder/hacker in any way, but I would think if it still has to pass through your RAM someone will find a way to "catch" it and put it back together for use without internet or as a lot of cases have shown it will get leaked in whole and still
I mean, do you really think galactic civilizations was better than: Deus Ex, Fallout 1 and 2, Planescape: Torment, Diablo II, etc, etc.
And i would give a resounding Yes!! to three out of the five. Why? Because it is my right ot have my own opinion. That's all these "this game is better then that one" arguments are about anyways.
IIRC Your in Australia Jafo. Most of my online Demigod and L4D playing is with a friend there so I've heard plenty about your guy's limits. I might not have the fastest connection(DSL 5000/768) but I am glad it's unlimited. :) I have an extra 320GB HD that does even have another copy of my steamapps folder on it, but for some reason I can't get this version of Windows to boot with it plugged in. It's an older IDE drive, so that might have something to do with it. as Slave the BIOS won
Ok. Thanks guys. Looking back I know I should of gotten things archived but I had been trying to get things setup on a Win7 installation and kinda let things get behind. Having about 30GBs to DL from Impulse and about 40GBs from Steam I've been a downloading fool for the last few days.
This is great. I'm always leary of those game trailers that like to show you pretty cinematics without any gameplay. And those YT vids of someone playing without any commentary of the whats and whys usually leave a lot to be desired when trying to get a grip on how the game plays/flows.
As I thought I understood it, when I purchased OD I would get current versions of all the programs available within and updates for a year. When my year ran out I would then just be stuck with the current versions and not have access to any new updates. My year ran out yesterday and now Impulse is saying I can't redownload Parts of OD I already had access to during the active period. Please don't tell me this is just a rent for a year then we take our programs back type of setup. I was planni
I know the fanboys will probably flame away but whatever.. Ummm.. I guess it's what fans wanted, but did it really take them that many years to come up with that? Same game with slightly better graphics and Warcraft 3's crappy zoom. Even the same sound effects and UI. I guess it was always just another rts for me, but I doubt I'll be buying it three times over and just wait for complete pack at a discount. Maybe I was just expecting something more groundbreaking.
Steam forums are going off too on this one. Could go down as the most pirated game in history when all is said and done. Ubisoft might as well have had you have to come to their office to have to play it. At least then you could slap the shit out of the management everytime the server hiccuped.
Well the site is supposed to be about comedy, but your right this is more truth with not much laughs. Maybe I'm just in fear of the Jobs ire.[e digicons][/e]
http://www.cracked.com/article_18377_5-reasons-you-should-be-scared-apple.html I realize this is comedy, but the fact is there is usually quite a bit of subtle truth hidden within.
Brad is paying you guys way too much [e digicons];P[/e] . Doing any hiring, I'm well versed in the art of..umm... coffee making [e digicons][/e] .
I was running Bioshock with FRAPS up, DX10 everything max at my monitor's native 1440x900 clamped at 60FPS due to v-sync. At one point it dropped down to the mid 40s for a few seconds and I would of never knew if it I hadn't seen the counter. Maybe my eyes are just getting old, but unless I get a huge dip in something it just doesn't seem noticable. Think I'd rather have a game using enough of my stuff to keep a smooth 45-60FPS rather than have a whole bunch of unused potential I paid for jus
One of the worst offenders of consolitis I have seen in recent years was a game I was actually looking forward to playing awhile back. Saints Row 2. OMG, the horrid controls, buggy and they couldn't even be bothered to get rid of the analog stick graphic for switching weapons and such. That and the fact that first gen Xbox(not 360) games would laugh at the graphics even when maxxed out. I am glad now that Impulse didn't get it(like was at one time a possibility) and I waited to pay next to no

I'd be a Pepsi Product person(Mountain Dew, Dr. Pepper, etc.). But seeing as both Coke and Pepsi seem to be jacking up the price every few months like they're serving liquid gold, I go for a nice offbrand Rootbeer most the time. Besides, Coffee is my main drink of choice. Love me some Maxwell House :) .
