They have a pretty effective and powerful military at this point, which I did jumpstart by giving them good quality planets and a number of ships and techs. You are getting them to use the ships you give them? I have never been able to get them to move them after I gift them over to them.(<--heh..them. four times in a sentence.) They eventually g

I've seen this occasionally, one ship here or there losing it's way. Never thought much about it. One time though, I loaded a save that had about 20 ships on autopilot and about 16 of them had lost there destination. That's the absolute worst case I've seen though and it's so infrequent that I never thought it important enough to mention. I am kinda bottom barrel on ram 512MB PC-2100 with an XP3000 CPU, but I don't play a lot of large games either. I will have a chance at seeing i
You really need a video driver update, but even at that your video card is really outdated. You need a DX 9 card to run GCII properly(GeForce FX/ATI 9000 or above)
The faithful are rewarded by their geeky gods. ALL HAIL STARDOCK!
I just hit 700% and 300% manufacturing bonuses on one class nine planet. These are the only bonuses in my entire empire of 39 planets(different game than I posted about above). I don't really have a problem with the way they are now after playing a while with it. Between the bonuses being rarer and the other additions, it gives the game a lot different feel overall in the pacing and gameplay. The galaxy also seems a lot more "lively" with the asteroid bases and such going on. I got to say I like
Thanks Mumblefratz. I always thought they did and didn't even attempt to build another SB, If I had 3 and a Resource mine in the sector.
Yea I need to append some of my earlier statements. I've gotten a little further in and found the influence levels working better on mines, though I still see the 9999.00 thing everynow and then. Just when there is really heavy foreign inf. Also, has anyone found out how to leave orbit in any direction? I'm sure I saw that mentioned as being a new feature. Thanks
They seems quite rare now, in 100 planets I've got 1 100% man. bonus and just a couple research and approval ones.
Go to start a game with the metaverse option from the main menu. It will ask you to login and create a character. Once done just play and at the end it will ask for you to submit it. You can't submit games that you started without the metaverse option.
Yea. I decided against it after I compared the files side by side decided there were to many added tags in the DA one. Besides thats what the custom oppnents are for anyways , so I just created a similar one and moved my logo and portrait over. Kinda weird seeing guys I'm used to being as opponents. Definately cool. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Congrats.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmidd
That was something Brad had said was barely operating at this point, so it will improve drastically I would think. It does output to an html file in MyDocuments/MyGames/GC2DarkAvatar/Storylogs.
Like having a rich uncle. Is it Uncle Dread or Uncle Lord? I know this doesn't help, but it does Bump your post.
DA has the blank multihardpoint hull like Kryo's mod and a lot of new parts; styles to choose from.
just create a new shortcut to the game then right click properties and under target add the code after exe" in the tag line. You'll see quotes going to it this way. Hope this helps
I was wondering about this too. I don't think I remember ever seeing anything below a class 4 in DL, maybe a 3 but there seems to be a lot of really low class planets in DA. I was wondering if it was by design to make the planet improvement techs more powerful, or if DA is just accidently generating that many sub 3 planets. On another note I haven't seen any differences after researching the advanced version of a colonization tech. I though from the description in game(+50% colonizatio
I got same exact problem, when u clicked on yes at the "just a few more turns" dialoge it froze. When I ctrl+alt+deleted out I see the buffer overrun error window. I didn't have SE running but will next time, meanwhile here is the debug.err Debug Message: Version beta 1 build 1 last updated on: Wed Nov 15 18:42:55 2006 Debug Message: Checking DX Version. If your using the beta ,you can't post metaverse yet from what I heard.
ok thanks I'll give it a shot. I like the idea of playing against the race I've been playing as for a while.
wow that sounds pretty powerful, if you keep it well protected.
After looking at Galactopedia, it looks like you need the Missile defender upgrades on the base as prerequisites as I think I went through this long ago, where I didn't realize some defenses are required for some offensive modules. I can't remember, as I rarely do mil. bases. If you already have those though, I'm not sure. Hope you get it straightened out.
I was wondering if I could take my custom race files from GCII, and move them to Dark Avatar to use as custom opponent. If so, what files do I move where. I could probably figure it out, but I don't wanna chance screwing my game up. Thanks for any help btw; Love DA lots of new stuff to play with and stable. What more could a guy want? <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Congrats.
Yea. Kryo is in the chat room and still can't either.
Can he include the people on this post in the first batch? I mean really, we are the freaks sitting here reloading Star Dock every minute to get it I know I'm doing the same and watching the chat room to relay here.
I don't know when the cutoff is, but I believe it is near when the beta comes out . They said there will be another beta window later to get in on.
