I've been looking through the story.log and related files. It seems most the logging is already being done in those files. It would be a great help to AAR writers even just leaving the current logging in, maybe just make it a little more readable to the laymen. I was one of those looking forward to the EP, but I can understand priority . That's why I was thinking just leave it in and have it maybe output

It's always been suggested for GCII and probably holds true for the beta, to start a new game or complete your current game before updating.

They are rarer, but still there. I seem to be finding more on lower class worlds compared to high PQ ones. May be to make the lower PQ worlds more desirable.

Lets just remove all the challenge from the game so that nobody will ever 'lose'. In best Romper Room voice "Everyone's A Winner." heh... but seriously, I was one of the complainers. After delving a little deeper

I think GCII should stand up quite well against any of those on that list. It has kept me playing daily longer than any other game I've ever had(Previous long was probably Warcraft II way back when). It should mop up in dedicated TBS categories IMO.

I think BFG does a better job thermally I definately agree the EVGA had a small heatsink/single fan. The BFG has a much larger heatsink/air funnel like system with two fans. As an added bonus the fans glow blue which match the blue and red leds on my other fans.

Mine was an EVGA and I always have gotten my drivers from Nvidia. I have had a couple problems over the years from them, but nothing I couldn't fix. Btw I'm on a BFG card now(6800), a friend of mine swears by them and always has to have the newest, so I buy the next to the top of the line from him cheap.

I actually had the same exact problem when I first got the game. I was also using an Fx5500 at the time. Thing with mine is F.E.A.R. did the same thing at the same time. I had the june drivers at the time and when all else failed I went back to the march drivers, which fixed the problem. Later I updated to the driver your currently using with no problems. If a driver change don't help though I'm not sure what it could be. I never had the problem thereafter.

Mirc has been around a long time. that's where this nick derived from in the mid 90's, wanted to use DeathAdder, but in the earlier days of Irc you could only have nine letter nicks. used to be a lot of solid communities on there, like there is here. To bad a lot of Irc has kinda now become the black market of the internet.

I agree it's a little much, just the three moves. A percentage would seem to be a much better solution, but coding that kinda thing could be a bear with having to account for different ships with different speeds. Late in the game though, I think taking a transport from 85 moves to 3 is a quite extreme.

Immediately loved the launch direction feature, will get tons of use. Only thing though I started a gigantic, all abundant;even asteroids all abundant game and the asteroids are very few and far between. The nearest group(only 2) are three sectors and four systems away from my start point. Out of about 6 x 6 sector area I have found only five total. Have they been reduced? They were all over in my games

As long as you don't have the disable minors ticked they should appear randomly on their own. Most are there at the start ,but some events can create them later during the game. Also galaxy size and number of opponents can effect your chances of getting minors generated.

I have already sent in the SE report, save game and debug, but I wanted to warn others. I was investigating a stack of Drengin ships, when accidentally I had two of the ships selected and hit the details button. Instant black screen followed by the "This program needs to close" box. I guess I'm lucky I noticed the two highlighted right before it went or I would still be wondering what happened. Well, try to avoid it or just be prepared. It's back to galactic domination for me <img src="http://im

I haven't been playing metaverse for a while, but something like this could definately peak my interest and sounds totally doable. Seeing how people stack up against each other under the same preset conditions would be a blast. May even satisfy some of the multiplyer crowd(for a while, for they are rabid ), as it would be kind of like a contest. You could see people challenging each other on the forums.

You can check which way your leaning in the management screen. The costs are always the same. Example if your pure good, neutral will be 2500 and evil 10,000. If you stay in the middle both the others will be 2500. So you can check before researching to see which way your leaning. Hope that clears it up a little.

I had a graphical bug show up with my starbases. The modules around the ring(the spike looking things) doubled and some were off of their little mooring post on the ring. They showed properly in the intelligence screen and all enemy starbases looked normal. Mine seemed to be the only ones affected and it was all of them.(about 9 bases) The bad part though, is I alt/tabbed out(I know it's not recommended but it worked) to startup hoversnap and get a screenshot. When I brought the game back up
