Mig, though my ego is thrilled by the idea of having a blog devoted to some comment I made I think I do need to clarify a couple things. Though I would like to claim that I have a very enlightened view of female attractiveness I don't think Ricci is a good example of such. Despite her height, she very much embodies the mold of the stereotypically ideal woman. This is partially the reason that I "used to think Christian Ricci was cute." If I had a c

i do try and read everything you write, as i am unfailingly enriched by it. my real-life closest friend is 'notsohighlyevolved' (marco), and he recently said to me "if life was fair, suspeckted would get 50 comments for every poem he writes". you're that good. i just wish i was around more when you post. damned antipodean existsn

Holy Hell, I am putting on my spikes and sprinting over there right now. I was all set to bike to work at it's pouring outside right now so this more than makes up for it...well, maybe I should say that after I read it. PS - thanks for the kissies...especially that they're kissies and not just kisses, that makes 'em even cuter.

Mig, I may have mistaken your gender but I've kind of gotten into the habit of calling everyone "man," just like Theron in the movie Monster, except that I'm not a woman, nor a prostitute....but I did used to think Christina Richie was cute. anyway, I would like to state for the record that I will accept closing comments with "kisses" "smooch" *smack* etc from males, females, or those who wish to remain ambiguious or have no choice for a variety of re

Biking in Germany....das mach spas. (sorry, it's been about 6 years since I've had a german class) Just thought I'd spot you some props for pedaling your way through part of the weekend. SuspeckTed

As more and more, look out, for our safety, danger struts around, without reason to lurk. Welcomed with open warms, soundtracked by car alarms, and cell phone ring tones, all beeping out the national anthem, and a bell choir of ringing cash registers. Thank you cards read: We appreciate the thought, for our wel

Mig, thanks for not leaving this one so lonely and starved for comment. I think, despite their claims, most poets, MCs, etc. all crave some tangible attention for their work...and I never claimed that I didn't. Happy Saturday, suspeckted

Trin, I, as always appreciate your responses, but I must say that I don't find anything particularly homosexual about this particular comment.

Alright, now that we're past this........Who is Janders? This is a 03' UMD grad living in Mpls that's curious.

10 Replies 2,192 Views

Nope, I only really cared about the Duluth part....geeze, so I didn't know Janders was a female, next time I'll be sure to get everyone's gender correct before making any posts.........cripes!

10 Replies 2,192 Views

Okay Janders, who the hell are you? Because when I saw this post I was wondering if someone might be referring to Duluth and BAM! here you are doing just that. Enjoy it man, and have a cup of coffee at Amazing Grace for me. -SuspeckTed

Mig - first off, big props for using the word "whilst," in your last sentence. It definitely adds some good writing flavor. Second, I don't live alone, but I often feel like I do since my roommate and I have such different schedules that we're usually in passing while the other is asleep or leaving for the weekend. Still, I do long for those who can eat up my time in a way that will bring a smile to my face, but I think I'm probably harder to live w

Thanks Mig and Comp Partner, I was a bit miffed at the great lack of response to my lengthier previous blog but hey, it's always nice to see both of you.

Rest assured, it hurts, that every reason to stay up late, has dispersed, into reminicent quips and and catch phrases, every backspaced sentence worth revealing, I, who edits and erases. Restless assured, I can't sit still, pacing a path into my floor, powerless to impose even my own will, what is it,

This was really funny, but you gotta cut those poor bastards a break Mig. I mean come on, they're placing personal ads in the paper, don't you think they feel bad enough about themselves already? Besides, in our city paper in Minneapolis, the best part near the personal ads is Dan Savage's column: Savage Love. Now there's someone who takes peoples comfort with their kinks and hangups and often rips them apart brutally and honestly simultaneously. B

Nothing I've written lately has stuck out as particularly blog worthy (apparently I've developed some sort of standards...who knew?)so I thought I'd compile a bunch of poems (largely unedited - suggestions welcomed) that made it into the journal over the past week or two into a single blog...please endure only as much as you can or as recommended by your doctor or phy

Godzilla - makes my day to hear a response from a Duluthite on this poem. There's probably more weight in these words than I've put into a lot of stuff lately. There's something about that town that has claimed a piece of my soul that it will only let me explore when I'm breathing Lake Superior air.

1/ abortion should remain a womans' right First off...I find it pretty intimidating to suggest I have any answers to these questions, but my two cents...sure you can have it....even though this isn't a pay day for me. Plain and simple, yes, it's a woman's right to choose to have an abortion, support the rig

Depressing Beautiful...thank you for organizing my frustrations with what I see around me, and what I see in me into some honest verse.

Hmm...that's really crazy. Actually, probably coincidental as well, Seven Bridges Road is a beautiful road in Duluth MN that cuts back and forth across Lester Creek. My dad actually has a story about a time he and a friend were driving on it in the winter and actually ran into one of the walls of the 2nd or 3rd bridge. This area has some great memories for me. It only figures that I've ridden my bike on the trecherous trails around this area and ne
