I'm not prepared to get into the whole discussion of Michael Moore's claims, but I wouldn't mind having my two cents on him. Sure, just as there are Rush Limbaughs of the Right, there are leftists of such exaggeration to the point of rediculousness. Am I calling Michael Moore the Rush of the Left...well, maybe not that extreme. But I do think there are much more intellectual dicussions of these debates coming from the left that don't get much attention. My personal favorite is Jim Hightower.

Seems like a pretty good excuse to stay cozy and huddled up together making a little body heat under 3 or 4 comforters...At least that's what I'd do. You'd probably decide you didn't need heat at all.
Actually having just got my first apartment I'd say it is more difficult than it seems. And are you planning on living with a really good friend of yours? Cause that could be problematic speaking from experience. But hey, good luck with that.
I know a lot of girls that hate the word "panties," I suppose I refrain from it as well just because "underwear" is more egalitarian. So what is your replacement word of choice for breasts?
Definitely a barrage of ethical questions raised in this article. I wish I could afford organic food instead of having to scrape by with whatever the large grocery chains happen to have on sale. I spent an entire semester discussing human experimentation in my medical ethics class in college. It really is interesting to debate all of these things in the contexts of coercion or fully-informed-consent. There are no easy answers to these questions, but I think it is safe to say as valleyboyabro
If marriage is about wild passionate jungle monkey sex than I'm thinking I want to get married a lot sooner than thought. I mean I've been having jungle monkey sex, but it really hasn't been wild or passionate let alone a combination of both.
From the little experience I have using it I really dig it. I'm not sure exactly how the ranking system works, but I think that I could easily figure it out. Otherwise as far as providing me with a free blog page I've been really pleased. Some features allowing us to make our blog pages a little bit more personal would be cool. Borders, backgrounds, pictures, etc. Thanks, Suspeckted
So I don't think there are any specific words that make my hair stand on end. But a few of my friends (all who happen to be girls) have a number of different words they can't stand hearing. One in particular hates the words "hump," "globalization," and the expressions "f__k your brains out." I have some adversion to hearing people referred to as "puss
Okay, well I should point out that since I work with elementary school kids everyday that I am constantly getting to relive my childhood. I get to play candyland, dodgeball, and climb on the jungle gym. I'm a lot better at dodge ball now than I was in 4th grade, and I get picked a lot quicker for kickball now. Anyway I grabbed a book out of the school library and began reading Roald Dahl's (author of James and the Giant Peach among others) and am really enjoying it. I hated to read when I wa
Karmagirl, I dig the name. Karma has slipped into my regular vocabularly. I probably check my Karma more than my email these days.
Yeah I'm inclined to agree that marriage in and of itself is not all the things that many would tack on a list of values to. It really boils down to a sexual contract claiming property to each other, anything additional to that is what you put into it...which hopefully, is a lot more.
If there's one thing that can make me feel better about nearly anything that might be interfering with my extended bouts of good kharma I can always turn to The Onion. If you have never experienced it I suggest a visit there right now www.theonion.com. Never have I been so entertained and offended simultaneously, but the humor is intelligent enough to keep you coming back for more and trying to explain the articles to your coworkers who may be more offended than entertained, but if that is the
I always like the name expatriot, has a great rebellious tone to it. I'm not ready to move out of the country...maybe visting another country would be a good start. Though I love my state of MN I'm wondering if there are many here who have stories of moving out of state to pursue a job or just a change of pace. There's a lot holding me here, but there's also a lot pulling me to do something else. Geographically my knowledge and experience is very limited and I'd like to expand it. So maybe
I don't avoid many people in the workplace these days which is nice because I have been in places where that has been a regular occurence. In fact much of my day would be focused around avoiding particular people so I could actually save myself the agony of having to hold a conversation with them. These days the only people I avoid are meter maids and relgious zealots handing out pictures of fetuses. Not simply because I have a problem wit
We should spread the love like butter over warm blueberry muffins so that it soaks in ever so nicely.
So my identity crisis continues in my love life if it can be deemed such a thing. I think I relearning all the business all over again. I just had the whole "this isn't really what I'm looking for" talk with a girl I had a few dates with for the first time. Don't get me wrong, I've had breakups but that was actually something had actually started. I'm beginning to wonder how much success there is in the get-to-know-you dating world, or if there is a lot more success in the already-know-you a
I always did like that story. Since I'm a sociologist I've always been in a bigger picture mindset, now if I can find a good balance between the personal attention and aiding the overall societal focus I'll be a lot more balanced myself. Thanks guys. -Suspeckted
I can see the abundant lists of discussion topics buzzing with points and counterpoints and for the first time in a really long time I'm choosing not to join. Anyone who knows me knows how opinionated I am, or rather that I enjoy having my say at anything I can claim some knowledge of or experience with. But I've definitely been inflicted with a strong dose of apathy. I still feel the same way I do about many issues political and otherwise but I'm not half as intent on sharing with everyone e
So my brother and I were exploring my new neighborhood in the uptown area and came across a building that had "Nasty Pants" tagged on one of the boarded up windows. So as we walked along I was messing around with a rhyme featuring an MC named Nasty Pants. I put on my nasty pants one leg at a time, and I put it on you, a few words on each line, I'm world reknown and throughout nasty lands, I'll fit you like a glove, huggin' your nasty ass, and when I w
So I've finally decided to fill the great void of nerdom in my life by creating my own blog. Until I land that dream column in city pages I thought I needed a space to spew all the literary vomit that has been surging through my body building up a pressure that may very well produce an explosion of epic proportions. So check back often as I hope to fill these blank spaces with something colorful, thought-provoking, or at the very least entertaining.
