What does that mean JM? [guten morge]
@shu
As for Angela's invitation (tho that was 4 hours ago), I'd like to say, 'Thanks dear. But I am a vegetarian. My religion prohibits me from eating meat. Maybe some other time. And cause you are a lean, mean hugging machine, here's one for you' ((((HUG)))) [Not a squisy, feminine hug, but a tight male hug]
I liked motion's poem. Inspiring. And you Sir WOM, I hope you read my tribute to you at the Scales wallpaper page. If you haven't, please do.
Shucks #300
What bout werewolf? Dear sir, won't u write a verse to contribute to our poem? LEASE:
What kinda bribe JM? Good morning to you all (or is it good evening)
What can I say JM? It is the age of advertisement and hard selling.
Here's another one, and this one is relevant to the thread. 'You don't have to suffer to be a poet; adolescence is enough suffering for anyone.' John Ciardi Also, check out my new Wallpaper 'Scales' at the following link. I'd appreciate feedback. https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.asp?library=8&skinid=6652
Here's a famous quote I remembered (not that I want this thread to go on to quotes now, but this one is good) Socrates: 'By all means marry. If you get a good wife you will become happy, and if you get a bad one you will become a philosopher.' Nice one, eh
Good one Fuzzy Logic. I'd like to see ur contribution to 'My Verse'. Keeping with the season's spirit aren't we motion?
Good night to all of you, is JM still there? Well here's something to dream about: And as I dream of the Dream, I dream that the Dream dreams me, And as we dream of each other, The whole world waits, With bated breath to see, If I can control the Dream, Or the Dream consumes me, But I lose, and as the Dream turns darker, I try to break free; But the more I struggle, The more I find, Myself entangled in the Dream, The web that the Dre
Could anyone decipher my Dream? Is there an Oracle out there?
And I dream a Dream, The Dream that I dream, Is it a dream That I dream, Or does the Dream dream me? :HOWZZAT?:
Thanks for letting me know Angela, So you are valid for two more inputs, hehe.
Great poem Angela :APPLAUSE: I wish I could write like that!!!! I like the way you think Sir elvee (may I call u elvee? Sir elvee is too formal.) An eternal optimist, eh?
I have no such problems you all, It is 1 in the afternoon here in Mumbai (call it Bombay if u must). So no sleeping problems at this hour. We need some more contribution. Why don't u pen ur thoughts Sir elvee (we are in a dream phase of the poem right now, so you just might help us ). And as for your 'poopy' Angela, flush the toilet after you are done. If u think it stinks, imagine our pligh
Sir elvee needs to sleep. Is it past ur bedtime Sir?
Hey Ladies and Gentlemen!!! Control ur emotions 'Tis getting outa hand : : I know that we are supposed to write just one verse, but if JM can break the rule, so can I. So here goes nothing. My verse: And as I lie to sleep, A multitude of Visions I see, A Being, Unreal, Ethereal, Be
Now we have prose included in the thread too!!! Great!! this is turning out to be quite a literary huddle, hehe. Did tou notice, that the 'My Verse' is see-sawing between Darkness and Light, seems to be the case with Life too. Its the eternal struggle showing up. As for Angela's comment: 'I wonder if there are enough poets in here to end it? Maybe by the end of Jan 03 ' Angela
I was hoping that someone else would write the 150th message, but it seems like the honour is going to be mine. Why don't all of us put our heads and hearts together and come up with a poem???? Each person may contribute four lines and if the thread runs to 300 posts, we might come up with a rhyme. People may want to post other messages too, so the following line must precede your contribution;<
Great poetry, all of you. :APPLAUSE: I am right here JM, I have my examinations going on. So yesterday, the net was out of bounds for me. I read all the posts on the thread, don't get me wrong, but I think that dark, brooding feelings always make for a better verse. I don't know, but perhaps grief touches our innermost self. It is a part of the self that we do not readily share with the world.
Thank You Kim!!! The kind of boost you people have provided to my ego is without a precedent for me, hehe
Thanks JM
Inspired by the original pieces contributed by all of you, I too was inspired to write a bit. This is my first poem in a long, long time. Hope you like it. I call it Eternity I rue the day that you left me, Leaving behind ruins in your wake, Pieces of my shattered heart, And laughter that could only be fake; Cause with you, you took, My smiles, my happiness
I am sorry Ande, I attributed your comment to a-seraphim. i hope you overlook this mistake.
