IPlural, I agree - it's been chilling to watch...

yeah really... leave? thanks for saving your own ass... I never said Bush was Hitler either. If anything (in spite of all the quotes from Mein Kamph coming out of Ashcroft and Cheney) the system they're building looks alot more like Stalin was the primary model. Bush (our president) is nothing. He's a cut-out that they put on TV, a sock puppet that only says (they desperately hope) what he's told to say. It's the "they" that I would rather address.
oh and incidently, I don't consider having a conscience and being aware as not rooting for the home team. If I see an administration that commits one assault after another on freedom and the American system of representative government and accountability I can only do my patriotic best and point out the disconnect from America's ideals and values. If Hitler were the home team would you feel the same way? Get over your indoctrination, America was founded by rebels and built into
I've never actually seen an episode fo South Park. I've seen a couple clips like the one in Bowling for Columbine and the interview with its creator. It looks like a hip, funny show but not enough to get me to watch TV.
"If you don't like it then you can geeeeeeeet out!" Tech Cat - could it be that you completely missed the message and the intent of that South Park skit? The statement although not uncommon is one that perfectly describes the intolerance that America's founders sought to prevent. It is funny because in the guise of being patriotic the r

what the heck, I'll post a picture too... this is just a couple months ago so this is what 30 years of married life will do to you...
Great picture China! you too Valhalla, congratulations In a couple months my wife and I will celebrate our 30th anniversary. It is possible to have a happy life together.
I was shocked... even after all the crashes and reformats I have 452 WB skins - about half a gig. Time to do some exploring... I wonder what's in there...
I hope that wasn't too much... I thought it was funny... This is really interesting - I just found this editorial by a member of the Brittish Parliment, Michael Meacher. " This war on terrorism is bogus " "The 9/11 attacks gave the US an ideal pretext to use force to secure its global domination" <A href="http://polit
Internet has been a bit rough today... can't go anywhere - just get 404's... seems better now...
Thanks for saying hello Chad, it's good to know you're doing well
One thing I've noticed is the most accurate story you will get is usually the first hour or two after an event. That's when you'll hear witnesses interviewed and see footage that hasn't been altered, sometimes not even edited. After a couple hours you start seeing the story change, the raw footage is never seen again and the 'experts' descend to tell you what 'really' happened which may be very different from what you saw and heard. It's called damage control. In a lot of cases the
Excellent post Lecrayon... especially this: "I would say that we all should try to govern ourselves and let people live in peace rather than fingerpoint towards each other and blame them for your stress and mistreatment. The only one that can make you healthy and happy is you."
Drudge is one of my favorite sources of news, known for breaking stories before the mainstream press. btw - ridiculing me doesn't help anyone's argument. You keep asking for links to the facts I'm stating but having re-read my posts I see there's nothing in them that wasn't on CNN or the Post, NY Times, etc. The notable exception being all the stories about the administration's assault on existing agencies and laws, or in other words, all the administration's policy decisions. These seem to o
I'm done... go ahead and have the last word, I'm going to bed. Tell us a fairytale about what a good father Dubya is and how we'll all be safe as long as he's watching over us with the "war on terror". I know I'll sleep better knowing we have a brand new nuclear arsenal being deployed to protect us from evildoers, wherever they may hide. The 3 million jobs that have vanished from America and the record bankruptcies and foreclosures that have graced this administration are only a sign of how o
I find it humiliating for America that when questions are asked regarding facts we know about 911 the response is that it's a conspiracy theory or it's un-american. How embarrassing that when we are attacked on such an unprecedented scale, a new 'Pearl Harbor', our president and the vice-president literally beg Congress to not investigate what happened. A federal commission that starts a year late to look into the events is underfunded, intimidated and stonewalled by the administration.&
got em Nikos... thanks for letting us know. I feel bad, I posted one of those... I must be getting old...
jeez... I wasn't gonna do this but I can't help myself. TC, let me give you my opinion of your points, one at a time. "George W Bush is not perfect, but as far as the War on Terror goes..." This administration INVENTED the "war on terror" complete with either allowing 911 or actually doing 911 to kick it off. Even republicans with half a brain know that. The war on terror is a mechanism of their agenda, nothing more. The result is a lot of terrorist acts can now be expecte
now I know what pooters are
The last line, "Wait 'till the fire turns green," refers to the brothers lighting each other's farts. "It's like a folk song," Frank told Rolling Stone in 1987. "The Idiot Bastard Son" is a pretty tune that comes off like a eulogy. It's about a kid born to parents who don't care about him; the father turns out to be one of the Nazi-like politicians in "Plastic People" and the mother's a hooker. The title works in two ways, as it describes the boy a
yrag is thinking of the Frank Zappa song "The Idiot Bastard's Son" from We're Only In It For The Money... whether he knows it or not...
hehe China... I was afraid to look... Jafo - I feel your pain buddy. My computer was a PII/450 until I built a new (and amazingly cheap) machine with an AMD 2200 and a great graphics card (FX5600Ultra), DVD burner, 1Gig PC2700, and blue lights (~! <-temporary excitement) so I gave the old one to my wife (a major upgrade from her P200MMX) and it died two weeks later... so now she has the same sys
