I'm at a loss to help with AR's wasting his time. I know what you mean now though Anthony, it's like you're talking to yourself. For one thing, I have no idea who Tim Robbins or Grossie ODonnel are, should I know these people? and why do you have to make Dubya out to be a hero and Clinton a traitor? Why not just look at the truth about both of them and work for a better system of government where America comes first, not oil companies. Enron, corporate fraud and the World Bank/IMF

yeah good idea AR, why waste your time, that's never a good idea, and frankly your ditto head propoganda has been making me feel ill. So you can stop wasting your time and I can start reading the message board again without feeling like I'm gonna hurl.
I got contacted too. They asked if they could include my Windowblinds skins on the CD and said there will be an article about WB in the magazine. I said sure, why not? We distribute them here for free, why not let a Japanese magazine spread them and an awareness of the software in Asia. The more people who use it the more good skinners there will be...
If everyone voted we wouldn't have a moron in the Whitehouse and the world would be a much safer place... oops... wrong thread
I got a shorter version of that a few days ago, with even worse grammar. I see they've improved it. I can't imagine Microsoft would send any mailing that wasn't an offer to buy something... can't be real I'm still getting buried with the last virus, about 50 an hour. Is this ever going to end? I almost opened a spam I'm getting so confused... <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/lol.
I agree with kona... what really bugs me is the absurd propaganda that gets posted in the name of political parties. Shameful lies with no point other than to convince everyone that our government is doing the best it can for the people, while the needs of the people are dead last in any political agenda. Corporations rule politics, and it's their desires that get fulfilled. Meanwhile there are real, urgent issues and needs that get ignored (or in Bush's world, sabatoged). Safe drink
m0rphium - maybe you meant Adobe Illustrator, isn't Freehand a Macromedia program? Anyway, If you're just getting into it I'd recommend Corel Draw. It's cheaper and it's a lot more intuitive to work in, a much less severe learning curve and it will do the same vector art that Freehand or Illustrator will do. Photoshop should be enough though as all your work for screen stuff will be rasterized anyway. Like someone said up there, it takes time to learn. Check out all the tutoria
I checked with my ISP and they're deleting the attachments but not the whole message. So I'm not getting the virus in the email but I am getting the emails. It has gotten worse the last two days. Mine isn't as bad as yours Nikos, only about a thousand a day, but it's still driving me nuts. I'm wasting about two hours a day deleting emails from the two servers that I'm getting them from. I think I'll ask the ISP if they can delete the whole thing instead of just the attachm
The only way it would work is if the stuff on the right was not there on non message board pages too, which would mean a major overhaul of the site design. With it, the browser window is very wide, without it, the message board is too wide. so... Nay
I like having the site fit in a smaller window, WC determines how big my browser window is because it's the widest site I vist. But it only works while I'm on the message board so it doesn't really change anything, I have to make it wider when I go to any other page and with the site set for its normal width the message board posts are too wide. I vote for putting the stuff on the right back.
I'm having the same problem... not just here but everywhere. I think yrag is right, it's the virus acting like a DOS attack on servers by its sheer volume.
It seems to be making a comeback... the volume dropped considerably for me a few days ago but the last two days it increased again. Now I'm getting close to a thousand a day on two accounts. I've noticed lots of websites that I normally visit are offline and even getting to wincustomize has been spotty. I don't know if it's their servers or my cable provider having trouble. One of my ISP's web-clients lets me delete everything in one shot but the other will only show 10 items
Here's what I got the other night. It's way over-exposed at only 10 seconds. Lens was an 8" Celestron which works out to 1,100mm at f8. Film was Fuji 800.
I shot a roll of film on the 9th but the pictures came out terrible. I used an 8" Celestron and the exposures were all too long so the planet looks like a maggot. I was gonna try again on the 14th when the moon was next to it but missed that night. We had plans to try it again tomorrow night but now it's cloudy, don't know if it'll be clear enough. There's still at least a week left. I may get another shot at it. My biggest problem is the trees around my place obscure it until about 2
I'm glad to hear you're doing well and Welcome Back oh unique one. I just saw your picture and wow, you have really long hair! I wonder if mine would ever get that long...
I built a new system a while back and put in an nVidia FX5600 w/128Mb. I never play games so I don't know if it's a big improvement for them or not (I suspect it would be though). I do use it to make some huge commercial jobs in Illustrator or Corel Draw where the filesize can be well over 150MB. So far I love it - nothing seems to slow it down. My old system would choke constantly.
yikes... Road Warrior scenes in the desert come to mind...
I've gotten 765 since yesterday, mostly on two accounts. My comcast account hasn't been hit yet at all... guess it could be worse. Seems like every fifteen minutes I get 20 or 30 more. I'm surprised how many are from familiar names. I don't want to embarrass anyone so I won't mention any names but this virus has gotten into quite a few friend's machines aparently. The most surprising was these: cavuto @ foxnews.com foxnewslive @ foxnews.com <P
hehe - pretty funny glad I'm not perfekt
wow... I can't imagine where it goes from there. Once you're used to having voice-mail in your fridge and an instant messenger in your microwave... what kind of new gadgets could you be enticed with? Looks like we've run out of creativity and are just trying to stick technology in the ear of innovation.
These are gonna clog up everyone's mail accounts too. You'll have to go to the web client for your email (if you have emails saved after download as a lot of people have to do) and delete them a page at a time from the account space. My mailbox space is ten Mb and it got filled today after a few hundred viruses plus a few hundred spams because I had received a couple attachments as well. I echo everyone's feeling... what a pain!
People respond kind of automatically to news as terrible as we see today. They want the government to do something about it. They don't mind increasing military budgets to $390 billion plus $80 billion for "black ops" and the odd $6 billion a month to aid in the "war on terror". They don't complain when new laws which restrict freedom and remove previously guaranteed rights are passed. Ultimately, who benefits from all of this? The people? Hardly. We give up freedoms and money to the
Madness... why would the Iraqi's bomb the only agency that was there bringing them needed food and relief supplies? The only world group that opposed the invasion and tried to mediate a solution — and was on the ground with supplies for schools and hospitals as well as food and water for the desperate citizens. Israel was in the process of returning 4 cities to Palestinian control. Those talks have been suspended because of the bombing. The bus bombing injured many children, many fami
The .tga image format allows for an alpha channel (funny, when I first typed that it came out "aloha channel", could be a good addition to cable TV ). It makes for smoother edges and better blending of images that are on top of other images. As far as I know, not all the skin elements will recognize the tga format. I believe the frame and some other parts still have to be BMPs with 'magic pink' for transparen
