I emailed you but I realized I only signed it David... it's on another email account too so if you're thinking it's not me I just wanted to assure you it is me does that make any sense?

jeesh... I'm sorry to hear he needs such an extensive fix. Fortunately they have this stuff down today. My brother just had his second open-heart surgery to repair a valve about three weeks ago. He's already back at work (drives a gasoline tanker). Take care of yourself Christine, we all love you too and times like this can be really difficult. Tell Mike we're all praying for his recovery and we miss his presence at the site. Let's hope the food is better than the usual hospit
in other words... don't mess up or you'll be in big trouble.
hehe - I'm sleeping right now...
There has to be a file that lets WB know which skins and in which order. Look in a skin's folder that has subskins and you'll see a file called "skin_name.SSD" You can make one in notepad and then add the extension ".SSS" to any subskins. Here's an example of the lines in an SSD file: [SkinStyles] Number=2 [SkinStyle0] Name=Alien Silver Plus Skin=alien_silver.uis [SkinStyle1] Name=Alien Silver Basic Skin=alien_silver_UIS1.sss
Doh! never even looked.... I should have realized you would have thought of that Neil. Humidor is getting closer goodmorphing... (keep reminding me)
hmmm.... thinking... I've never stopped using some of the older skins just because they don't have all the new enhancements. Some of the really old ones that don't even have the scrollbars skinned I've made updates for myself for my own use. WB allows you to choose an XP start-panel and taskbar from another skin, which I often do with an old design. Since the new shell enhancements are in a seperate file like the XP stuff could WB add that as an option? Pick the shell style you
Actually, it used to work on the Windowblinds library when it was on the old Stardock site. That library has been merged into Wincustomize and now the logo doesn't show up anymore. When it was used the format for the skin lists was completely different.
yep... lovin it
no... doesn't do that. There's an inactive scrollbar but not a seperate one for inactive windows.
The first alpha was the only one I could run... the second crashed explorer. Just installed the new one though and so far it's working fine. woohoo!
heya Sis! how you doin?
This is terrible news... WOM you gotta get better! Starone, are you okay? That's enough already with our friends having a health crisis. I know we're all praying for Fuzzy and now Mike. Let's keep all the positive energy possible focused on these guys, their loved ones and the doctors that will make them better.
It's real common for a skin to have 30 or 40 comments but only 2 or 3 ratings. I like your scale Delicious...
That's great!
I agree with paxx except I think of 5 as being OK and 6 is a bit better than average. For 4 I would say it's 'not bad'. Being one whose work bypasses moderation I always start with a 6. Usually it stays there. Doesn't bother me at all. If ratings were really important then no site would be a good place to upload your work. Check out the deskmod WB section, the lowest ratings in the whole section (last time I looked) are two of my older skins both of which got high ratings at other sites
Please don't delete your skins and reupload them to try to improve your rating. That's a bad idea for several reasons. I can only speak for myself but when I post a skin, the rating is whatever I feel the skin deserves. I never put an automatic rating to save time, that's silly. After a skin is on the site for a while the rating will change as people leave ratings on it. If you ever feel that a low rating is undeserved or done for an ulterior motive, contact an admin (our names and emai
If you have skunks hanging out under your deck, throw some mothballs under there, they'll leave and never return. (must be napthalene type) To keep Deer out of your garden you can make a cheap fence by putting a couple strands of string around the garden on poles. The deer will think it's a complete fence.
In Win2K the Display Properties box (right-click/properties on the desktop) has a tab named "effects". That is where you select the Recyle Bin icons.
They should all be there now. I think they were moderated because of the similarity and the enormous file size (just guessing, I thought I had posted them). My guess is that whoever moderated them didn't realize there were about a dozen files inside each one.
heh - that reminds me of another TV show that deserves a thread... Married with Children, and Kelly Bundy's quote... "what a mormon".
Wabbit Season!
A bit of historical correction here... It was R.Crumb who did Mr. Natural, Flakey Foont, Mr.Whiteman, Despair Comics etc for Zap Comics. I don't think he was ever refferred to as "Robert" in any of his work. Gilbert Shelton did The Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers which is where Fat Freddie's Cat came from. Victor Moscosco was the surrealist who did the Peanut Man and all those spacey desert landscapes (plus the legendary panels on the L-Taraval streetcar. Rick
I would include NextStart, and maybe ICQ Plus but I don't know how active those apps are now. I just know they were definitly 'core' apps not long ago. Sysmetrix seems to be growing in popularity and has an impressive 236 skins here already in its short life. Since most of the skins are fairly intricate and it seems to be the system meter of choice now I imagine it will be around for a long time. I've seen screenshots where the only skins used were Sysmetrix and that calendar program (R
That's not a bad idea crae.
