Could it be that Galactic Civ has the XP taskbar and start menu and SETI glass doesn't? (lazy skinner never finished it) What happened that made you say it mixed up the two skins? I can't imagine why it would hang Outlook Express and the Task Manager though... that's strange.

Thank god your wife wasn't hurt at turn 3 last year. I didn't realize she was so close to that tragedy. Thanks for sharing this story... it expresses a perspective that's often not considered.

Skinners, users, admins, wizops all sat down in one boat together... troubled voyage in calm weather... listen to Jafo – for the most part we are all skinners running this site. The decisions made are almost always a debated consensus which always takes all the message board conversation into account. Everyone has a voice and the overall reality is you can post your stuff, speak your mind, download some goodies, take part/not take part, support/not support, what

The reason for that is we have a script that automatically generates the thumbnail view that's used in the section listing. The preview image you are uploading is what you see when you zoom the image. A lot of people upload a thumbnail sized image for the preview which is worthless for the people trying to view the piece. In the case of a wallpaper, screenshot or logon (theoretically) uploading a tiny preview image will get your submission rejected (with an email request that you reupload with a

Sometimes people make a job "impossible" in their minds. Usually, if you just get started on it and work towards finishing it without hesitating or dwelling on the thought that it's "impossible", the job will get done. I'm sure you can do the impossible feline, and T-Man is right that the people who won't consider doing it don't want to be in a position that is so demanding. Some people think if they accomplish something truly incredible there will be an expectation to perform at that

haha - thanks... that skin is like three years old now. It doesn't even have the scrollbars skinned. Maybe I'll do an update for it since I've ignored it for so long. I still use it everyday, I have it set as a per-app skin for Hardwood Solitaire.

It could be anti-virus software or something else loading at startup. A firewall maybe? OB 1.1 runs great here so I'm not sure what it could be. Have you tried posting a question at the newsgroup? There's some real helpful (and smarter than me) people there. Here's a link for it: news://news.stardock.com/stardock.od.windows.objectbar

When the first movie came out I was working with a tour of the Royal Ballet. We saw the movie just before a performance and during one of the pieces, one of the dancers was doing Darth Vader in the wings with a motorcycle helmet he found laying around. He was trying to crack up the dancers on stage. It was so hysterical I was splitting my sides laughing and having a really hard time not making a lot of noise. The dancers on stage made it through the performance with just the right expressions an

I liked the first Star Wars a lot. The second one was kind of a let down (the teddy-bear muppet/munchkins ruined it for me) but the special effects were cool. The third one had so many cute characters I kept expecting smurfs to show up in the story (but the special effects were cool). I'm afraid to go see the new one... I'm sure by now, the smurfs have taken over the teddy-bear planet and some cute little kid and his lovable CG sidekick will overwhelm them with cuddly good intentions. <img src
