Jobeleca i did not subscribe for the suites (they are just a bonus) and if you do not wish to subscribe that's fine too. Because they are inferior, Alpha's are possible to eat your machine up and spit it out. While beta's have had a little more testing and bug fixing.. and as such is less likely to do verious nasty things to your computer. Though you should note there is a chance beta's could still do so. Aol has gotten a bad rap because it is bad, It takes over your system far beyond what it should! It has even been known to uninstall software (A friend of mine installed a trial of aol and it uninstalled some of his programs and others just would not work anymore).
