I have posted this before but I agree, the constructor phase is the most boring part of the game. I would rather they were like planets once established and you could just spend money to improve. I get it over with as soon as possible. Max out my mining bases for extraction only. I build very few econ bases around my key planets. Tech capital, manu cap and econ cap and maybe a few when I can build a econ to cover multipul planets. Econs only help you spend money, not bank it. I build my

I never bother wasting constructors on weapons and defense techs. I just max my mines extraction capabilities. Max econ bases econ and trade bonuses. The same follows for influence bases. I find the constructor stage incredibly boring and want it over with as soon as possible. Starbases are no match for max'd out fleet in a war anyway so building them up for other then their primary purpose is a waist of time. I can park a fleet on them if it is that important to me. Rarely do

What we really need is a per planet option to build primary buidings only on planets. Once all the tiles are full switch off the option and let the planet upgrade to current tech. You would get your new planets up and running much faster and cheaper. Right now getting NLC or Industrial sector tech to early can destroy your economy. You almost want to give it to the AI free to screw his economy.

Stronger governor controls would be very useful. Being able to prioritize upgrades globally instead of going through sorting planet by planet. Set up a governor’s queue so planets always upgrade in the order you want when more then 1 upgrade is available. I would like manu upgrades 1st followed by econ, then research, moral and farm and then anything else. Finish the current project in queue then switch to my global priorities as those upgrades become available. The more planets you got the more

The story is that the humans "gave" hyperdrive away, but the truth is that it got leaked onto the Internet Not quite true. It was on a computer with Microsoft Security works 2525 software protecting the data and it got hacked by a 1st generation Yor unit. Unfortunately for the Yor and fortunately for earth, the Yor unit had to

Not only that they gave away hyper drive. The greatest strategic discovery in the history of the entire Metaverse and they just gave it away. I mean even to the Drengin? Here you go, come on over for a visit. No, no, don't bother bringing your own death furnaces, you can use our pizza ovens.

To bad you could not save that planet and use it every game. If you cannot win with that start, you cannot win.

LOL It's only a 30 day experiment. Join and all will be revealed. Nothing even revolutionary or anything close to "cheating". I agree looking at his scores it seems impossible but apparently not. Now if he can coach me to those scores he's also a brilliant coach.

In governors area will bring them all up in the area where you change them. I try to have as few as possible so it's esier to manage and now that they are move able it makes my life a lot easier. Instead on setting a new one just move an established one. On the mini screen you can turn everything off except rally points to find them on the map. To much clutter to see other wise on a gigantic.

Yes but it might not be a problem. It might be the way it works. I just don't know. Should I start a new Character? Should I carry on submitting games to what could be a irreparably flawed character? Does anyone know?

I lost a 1/4 of my entire score by submitting 1 game. Is that a problem? Does Stardock think that it is a problem? Have they ever acknowledge a problem? I have absolutely no understanding as to why it happened, is that a problem? My earlier high scores were arbitrarily lowered by Stardock, is that a problem? I think waisting the hours it took to put up 33 games may have been my real problem. I thought the game was going to put me into 3rd or

I found this in the the Gal civ 1 archives. Is it the same as the original is the question. #29 by Citizen IceMole - 7/25/2003 3:38:15 AM This should now be 100% accurate in describing metaverse overall score calculation. For the score as shown on the player page: 1. Separate the scores into blocks of 30 days, counting back from the most recent submission. 2. Within each block take the sum of the scores, divide by the square root of the number o

My concern is with Meta scoring With every game I play my total score goes down lately. I lost 70,000 points posting a single 40,000 military. I don't know if there is any point playing the meta anymore. It would be nice to have some idea what was happening. After all I'm dedicating hours of my spare time to rid the universe of the Yor and score a few more points for my empire. A little information is the least the civilians at stardock could do to aid my cause. <br/
